Saban in no rush to find a quarterback

So who is going to replace Greg McElroy at Alabama next season? Will it be A.J. McCarron or Phillip Sims? Maybe it will be Phillip Ely

These are questions that Nick Saban is going to be hearing a lot in the coming months, and he seems fine with it. According to the Alabama head coach, it doesn't matter how many times the question of who Alabama's new quarterback will be is asked, he's not in any rush to answer it.

"I know that every press conference between now and whatever is going to be about the quarterback," Saban said. "I'm not going to have a lot to say about it. This is something that you have to let happen and you have to let develop. Even though it may create a great news story every day it's something that cannot be affected by anything other than what happened on the field.

"Obviously we'll have a new quarterback one way or the other. Without creating a quarterback controversy of any kind, and I would appreciate it if we don't, somebodies going to have to earn the job through their ability to manage the team, lead the team and make good choices and decisions that allows them to play winning football on the team. That has to be determined and there's no timetable to determine it."

If any of the quarterbacks have an edge, it'd likely be McCarron. He has the most experience as he threw 48 passes for the Tide last season, completing 30 of them for 389 yards and 3 touchdowns. Sims on the other hand spent the entire year being redshirted, and Ely was in high school last year. So for either of them to take the job, they'll have to play extremely well this spring.

Saban in no rush to find a quarterback

Maybe you Aubee's should worry about SCAM NEWTON and what is about to happen to your program in April. mark my word. this will be a penalty that is totaly deserved. I mean come on give me a break you think newton turned down Miss. state and $180,000 to go to Auburn for free. And how did he not know about the deals his father was making. For example. One business partner does not make a deal without the others knowledge. Lets say papa newton made a deal for money to go to one school and baby scam doesnt know about the deal and decides to go to a different school. How does papa newton explain this to the "money man". OF COURSE CAM NEW ABOUT THE DEALS.

Saban in no rush to find a quarterback

Tiger, you know how the delusional logic works w/ the mullets in T-town.  To them, running the gaunlet of going undefeated in the SEC next year consists of beating LSU & that's about it - they all posted the exact same thing last year.   (every year since Saban showed up, they are National Champs in their own minds & it's a travesty bigger than Pearl Harbour or the 9/11 bombings when they lose - not my words, just quoting Little Nicky).     &nbs

Heck, I hope that ole Nick Satan throws AJ McCarron in as the starter.  He did really well in last year's Iron Bowl & I would only expect a similar effort in this year's game when they travel to the plains.    &nbs

Saban in no rush to find a quarterback

Wait what did you say?! Alabama will run the table "IF" they beat LSU! I thought Alabama was coached by the Great Nick Saban, the greatest college football coach ever, or at least since Bear Bryant had that title. And hasn't Alabama had the Number 1 recruiting class in 3 of the last 4 years? And you are worried about getting by LSU and "Crazy" Les Miles?! Wow Les Miles must be a lot better than most of you Alabamer fans, and especially Paul Finebaum, give him credit for. If little Nickey can't run the table with more talent than any other team in college football (and some pro teams too) then ya'll need to run little Nickey out of town or at least demand some of all that money back ya'll are paying him!

Does Broken record mean anything to you. You sound alot like a guy that used to post on here named Jrock. He had about as little of sense as you do to. He posted the same things all the time and I have noticed you have the same style. Jrock is that you? Seems if not you  might want to ask your parents if they ever had another child you dont know about, you might have a brother out there.Surprised this was his Avatar and showed him perfectly, always willing to insert his foot in his mouth at anytime. sound familiar, it should you resemble that remark alot. Stand by for your weak season, The spiral downward will be a great one for you and your team. Down to the middle of the Pack you will go again.

Saban in no rush to find a quarterback

It really doesnt matter who the next quarterback is for the TuscaLOSER Tide is because they will still suck.  They may win 7 games next year, then again, maybe not....Saban is not in a rush, because there is no one to chose from.
