Oregon State has suspended defensive tackle Castro Masaniai indefinitely following an arrest over the weekend. Masaniai was arrested over the weekend and booked on counts of second-degree kidnapping, coercion, disorderly conduct, harassment and criminal mischief. While details are still a bit cloudy about what happened, according to the police report, it all started at a local McDonalds.

According to reports the incident happened at the downtown McDonald's restaurant. The second-degree kidnapping charge comes into play as Masaniai's apparently attempted to pull his girlfriend out of the restaurant.

Masaniai had been projected as a starter for the Beavers this season, but odds are that his suspension will have an impact on that as will the judicial system. He played in seven games last season and made four tackles before suffering a shoulder injury that ended his season early. The shoulder injury also kept him out of spring practice, and the team wasn't expecting him back before August.

So when my kids are throwing a tantrum in a restaurant and I take them out side to slap the shit out of them in the car that's second degree kidnaping?

Okay so let me get this straight...if you try to pull someone out of the artery clogging, saturated fat filled, fast food pit that is McDonalds is called kidnapping?? Hell if Masaniai had a smart lawyer his defense could be that he felt her life was at risk being there! lol

I understand he has a history of defensive holding calls.
And now offensive.

I heard he jumped up a number of spots on the Bengals Board after his arrest.

Perfect player for the ducks. I say ship him south! In all seriousness, The team reacted correctly in suspending him but I would like to find out more details. There has to be more to this than him not letting his girlfriend leave a McDonalds.
