It seems they do everything at Oregon faster than everybody else, not just football. So I suppose it's hard to blame cornerback Cliff Harris for his run-in with the law this weekend, as he's used to doing everything at 100 miles per hour. Or, as is the case this time, at 118 miles per hour. According to a tweet from Rob Moseley, who covers the Oregon beat for The Register-Guard, Harris was pulled over by the state police on Sunday for driving 118 mph in a 65 mph zone.

And he did it on a suspended license to boot.

That's not the best way to go about getting your license reinstated. According to the AP report, Harris was pulled over at 4:35 a.m. on Interstate 5 south of Albany in a rental car. The fine for getting caught driving over 100 mph? $1,148.

As for whether or not Harris should expect some form of punishment from the football team, Chip Kelly is yet to issue a statement.

Just another example of the type of kids Oregon is now going after. Sad to see another fine University chase glory at a cost to their values.

It's always fun watching the Ducks rationalize any of their players' misdeeds.  This one is definitely down there on the totem pole of infractions, though.
Don't make me bring up Bily Joe Hobert, Jeramy Stephens, et. al.

Husky fans like you shouldn't be throwing stones when you live in glass houses.

Harris was stupid for doing what he did but should he be kicked off the team?  No, I don't think so.  Punished?  Yes but not kicked off the team.  Husky fans are just hoping it will happen so maybe they'll actually have a chance to break the 7 game losing streak they have against the Ducks, but we all know that won't happen.

HUSKIES HAVE FLEAS!!!!

$1,148.00!!!!

He'll have to sell his Pac-10 championship ring to pay that.

If he isn't kicked of the team, something is rotten in Oregon.

How was he able to rent a car if he has a suspended license?

Maybe he can join NSCAR if football doesn't work out. That is faster than a lot of their drivers. Except for Kyle Busch, of course. But then again he didn't have the wheels that Kyle had.

I'm quite familiar with that stretch of interstate.  I am also not suggesting what he did was very wise or OK.....but the average speed along that location is around 85.  There is not a darn thing there you could possibly hit and it is straight as an arrow.

anyway.....

Go ducks

atleast it was a 65 zone which is interstate in Oregon and not like a 25mph residential street.
