For millions of college football fans and video gamers around the country, today is the longest day of the year. You see, it's the day before the newest version of EA's college football franchise, NCAA Football 12, hits shelves, and those of us who pre-ordered the game weeks ago have to sit around for another 24 hours waiting to get our hands on the game.

Unfortunately, if you haven't been lucky enough to get your hands on a preview copy of the game, I can't do much to help you whittle away the remaining hours. You'll just have to keep waiting. What I can do, however, is post this video from Gamespot with one of the creators of the game as they discuss the new features of this year's vintage.

No, it's not the same thing as actually playing the game, but at least you can look at it for a while and pretend you are.

Tomorrow will be here sooner than you know. I promise.

For those of us still jonesing for more, which is pretty much everybody, here's even more information on the game from Gamespot.

Why does a video game maker have a championship ring?  What a tool.  Game looks cool though.
