NCAA investigation of Auburn isn't over

If you thought that the NCAA's investigation of Auburn and its recruitment of Cam Newton was over, then it seems you'd be wrong. At least, that's the impression NCAA Vice President of Enforcement Julie Roe Lach gave Auburn head coach Gene Chizik last month. That's when football and basketball coaches from the SEC were in Destin, Florida where Lach made a presentation to the group.

According to a report in the New York Times, after Lach opened up her presentation for discussion, Chizik had quite a few questions for her and then she dropped a bombshell on him.
[Chizik] peppered Roe Lach with a flurry of questions about the N.C.A.A.’s investigation into Cam Newton and why the N.C.A.A. had not publicly announced that the investigation was over. Chizik complained that the inquiry’s open-ended nature had hurt Auburn’s recruiting and he followed up at least three times, leading to a testy exchange.

“You’ll know when we’re finished,” Roe Lach told Chizik, according to several coaches who were at the meeting. “And we’re not finished.”
Well then!

While neither the NCAA or Auburn would confirm the exchange between Chizik and Roe Lach, according to the New York Times report, four fellow SEC basketball coaches -- Vanderbilt's Kevin Stallings, Arkansas' Mike Anderson, LSU's Trent Johnson and Ole Miss' Andy Kennedy -- did confirm the exchange to the paper.

Of course, just because the investigation isn't over, that doesn't mean the NCAA is going to find any new evidence than what it has already and use it to punish Auburn. Still, the fact that the NCAA is still digging around can't be all that comforting for Auburn faithful.

NCAA investigation of Auburn isn't over

To all you LS (WHO) fans.....Yeah , it was my understanding that LSU boasted the best defense in the SEC as well as in the top 5 in the nation.....You LS (WHO) people have some major denial issues if you are posting in our Auburn "All We Do Is Win" Tiger forum.  Geeze, giving up 440 yards rushing is pathetic, dont you think.  Take away CAM "Heisman" Newton run of 70 yards, and yet you are still pathetic.  I mean 526 total yards offense, wow, I dont know of any pee wee teams that give up that much yardage.  But, you didnt give it up, its more like we took it from you pathetic excuse for SEC football.  So, go to your own forums and play tiddily winks with each other, and keep your PATHETIC accusations, denial of the facts, ignorant, self-absorbed out of our rooms.

NCAA investigation of Auburn isn't over

" I was arguing with a Bama guy because he cant let it go and buys in to too many rumors"

Words of true tool. Proof that there is no common sense on the Plains.

For months Auburn fans have been screaming there is no investigation. No one is looking into anything. It's all a conspiracy by Alabama and Nick Saban. It's a conspiracy by BlueTunaTiger and LSU fans. All the articale are just jealousy and part of a conspiracy by the everyone in CFB because they are jealous of Auburn and their monopoly on GOD.

Then we have an Article from the NYT, about an event a month ago, that let ole Cheesedic know without a doubt, there absolutley is an investigation....and what do we hear from Auburn fans?

nothing but pure BS. More denail from tools on the plains.

These idiots have a serious lack of common sense. Anyone listen the PF yesterday? Too funny, just more of the same from "All in the Fambly"...crying, whining, denial, typical tAUrd type stuff.

So everyone here, just give up. These morons don't hear you. Post facts and you are accused of buying into rumors, even though not one time was RUMOR part of the discussion, excep the tAUrds pathetic claim that the NCAA is just trying to hold them hostage. Utter NONSENSE, but the whole nation has come to expect that from them.

Make no mistake, Auburn is a brainwashing CULT.

Seriously, listen to their rhetoric... Several months ago they had some lame campaign going on...all I heard was "Auburn is so much more than a Univesity", "It' more than just a town", "It's a family"

...yeah..So was the Manson Family

So, AUTiger7788, I do not believe for one second you will be here to eat crow. If something does come out, you'll be right here with every other tAUrd claiming Auburn is getting the shaft, or some other conspiracy bs.

NCAA investigation of Auburn isn't over

Auburn is like the mafia don being investigated by the Senate who keeps demanding his civil rights and deploring the interferance in his daily life. No doubt this is the only ploy left to the fans of the dirtiest program in football history.

Auburn has been held hostage by the NCAA for far too long. If there was an issue, why let auburn play in the bcs.....let them come. There is nothing to it and auburn will overcome it anyway.

Little brother syndrome?  We have won last 8 of 11. But if Fairley put a beating on me like he did LSU I would be bitter too. Did you catch Cam's Heisman run against LSU??  I did.
