The investigation into what happened between LSU football players and others at a bar fight last Thursday night continues, and on Wednesday police were at the homes of four different LSU players, including Jordan Jefferson, searching for evidence. This after the Baton Rouge police interviewed the players on Tuesday, though no charges were filed.
What exactly were the police looking for in the player's home on Wednesday? Well, if Jordan Jefferson's bare feet are any indication, they were looking for some shoes. From our LSU Rapid Reporter Glenn Gulibeau:
Baton Rouge Police took the shoes off QB Jordan Jefferson's feet and 48 other pairs from his apartment during a search Wednesday night in relation to the ongoing investigation into Jefferson's and three other players' involvement in a bar fight last week, police spokesman Don Stone said. "Police seized 49 pairs of (athletic) shoes," Stone said. That is a lot of shoes.
Police spokesman Don Stone would not comment directly on why the police were so interested in Jefferson's shoes, but he did say that the police usually look for blood stains on the clothes. There have been reports that one member of the LSU football team kicked a Marine in the face during the fight, though those reports have not been confirmed by the police.
