LSU is currently without its starting quarterback Jordan Jefferson and linebacker Josh Johns as the two have been suspended indefinitely after being arrested for their role in a fight outside a bar in Baton Rouge. According to witness reports, Jordan Jefferson allegedly kicked a man in the face during the fight, and now a report on ESPN details the injuries suffered by two of the men involved in the fracas.

Andrew Lowery is the man who was allegedly kicked in the face by Jefferson, and he suffered a facial fracture, a concussion, fractured teeth and facial and body bruises in the fight. According to the general manager of the bar where the fight took place, John Peak, Lowery also threw the first punch and had been kicked out of the bar earlier.

Lowery claims that he was merely trying to help an unknown man who was being pulled from his truck by the LSU football players. The man who was pulled from the truck suffered three fractured vertabrae in his lower back, a concussion, fractured teeth and severe cuts and bruises on his face.

What actually happened that night outside Shady's Bar we don't know yet, and it's up to the local police to piece the story together. Still, given the injuries suffered by Lowery and the man in the truck and witness reports, things aren't looking good for Jordan Jefferson at the moment. Regardless of whether or not he started the fight or was merely defending himself.

what I find odd

1- Lowery left the scene and then came back (by police report)  where did he go and why?  did he go get a witness?  The only NON participant in the fight that said Jefferson started the fight and was identified as the suspect was the girl who took Lowery to the hospital.  HMMM!  and her 1st statement on TV  "I saw a guy kicking that guy and he looked like Jordan Jefferson."  " Later she said "Yes I saw it all and it was Jordan Jefferson for sure."  I have major problem with this

2- Lowery initially told police he was "OK, just some bruises"  the report said he had red spots on his face and neck.  the police sugested he go to the hospital to be checked, again "I am ok I am just shook up"  but later he told news he went to the hospital when his dad told him too.  And then he told hospital he was knocked out.  weird but he didnt tell the police that.  was he coached?  did his dad tell him what to say?

3- Now 10 days later he has fractured teeth, facial bone?????  I think the original hospital report should note that maybe???

As many people on here have stated, "kicking a guy once he is down" is pretty lame

But I must confess to having been in a few bar fights.  Although I never started a fight, I did have the pleasure of finishing a few.  Sometimes people jump on your back and you just react.  But I guess my background taught me to defend yourself or a victim and once the "enemy" was down just back off.  I did have a guy get up and come at me with a broken bottle.  And I was tempted to use it on him.  I have a 6-8 inch scar on my side that reminds me why you just dont go...

To bad he's not in the NFL he would still be able to play while the investigation is going on and if he got convicted he would be allowed to serve jail time on his bye week but by the way it looks he probably will never play another down for LSU. Starting QB and was going to be a high draft pick(if they finished high in the standings) but he had to go to the bar which is no big deal but just walk away from the Bullsh!t.

Wow, you can tell most of these people are non athletic individuals who hs never WON a fight. If someone starts a fight, then people have the right to finish it..."By Any Means Necessary!"

I don't care who threw the first punch. Kicking someone while they're on the ground is 110% chicken shit.

Why is Darron Thomas playing in this game for the Nike U? He has been the passenger in multiple vehicles doing illegal things. I still don't buy the fact that he was sleeping in a car going 118 MPH. More like he was too stoned to know what was going on. He should be suspended as well as Cliff "Speedy" Harris.

Oh, we're in agreement that Jefferson should sit pending the outcome of his charges. But the more that comes out, the shadier it seems. The guy Lowery had already been escorted from the bar by staff because he was seen harassing a young woman. He also has prior arrests, as well as a restraining order against him from the aforementioned woman. The staff at the bar seem to corroborate Jeffersons claims, but they have as yet have not been questioned by the police. Something isn't adding up here. But I, like everyone else, have only rumor, speculation, and sensationalist journalism with which to form my own opinions at this point.

LSU, welcome to Oregon's world (i.e. players making stupid decisions).  Should make for an interesting Saturday.  Go Ducks!

From what I have read, at least five people have said it was Jefferson doing the kicking.  There are also several that have said that he is not the one, but most of those were associated with the team.  If the police can find someone without an agenda to give a statement, that would be good.  Until then, I think it is best for the program that Jefferson sit.

LSUMCR, you don't find it odd that the only two people are Lowery, who has been show to have serious character concerns, and a woman that both drove Lowery to the hospital after the fight as well as brought him home with her after leaving the hospital?
