Can you feel it? We're only one day away from ending what has been a long offseason and getting back to football, but unfortunately for a couple Oklahoma State players, the wait is going to be even longer.

Oklahoma State announced on Tuesday that two players had been ruled ineligible for the team's season opener against Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, including starting safety Johnny Thomas. The same can be said for backup wide receiver Michael Harrison.

Head coach Mike Gundy would not give any details on why either player was ineligible for the game, and he also did not give a timetable for their return to the team.

Thomas' absence will be felt the most, as he started 11 games for the Cowboys last season, and finished the year fourth on the team with 63 tackles and had 3 interceptions. Harrison didn't start any games, but he had 14 receptions for 135 yards and 3 touchdowns.
