No doubt there'll be plenty of inspiring 9/11 tributes across the sports universe this week, college football very much included. But the coolest one we've seen thus far comes from Arkansas, where ArkansasSports360.com has published a photo of this red-white-and-blue rendition of the Razorbacks' midfield logo:

For those of you unfamiliar with the usual Hog logo, you can get a little better idea of the tribute version looking at this horizontal rotation (maybe):

No doubt we'll get even better photos in the coming days. But we also don't think there's much doubt this is too cool not to share right now.

As a Floridian and die hard Gator fan who has lived in NY since the week before 9/11 all I can say is that is a class act. This was one college football got right!

Fans in odd numbered sections have been asked to wear white, even number sections to wear red, and they're giving the students blue.  Days like this make it great to be a Hog fan!!!!!!

Here is a link to a story with a more overhead view.

Also, the fans are being asked to wear red or white, depending on what section they are in.  The game itself is taking place in Little Rock at War Memorial Stadium, not in Fayetteville.  The Razorbacks traditionally play a game or two in Little Rock every year.

So, even the name of the stadium fits this one...

As a NYer who lived 1 block from the WTC on 9/11, i take my hat off and say thanks to the Univ of Arkansas for their kind act of rememberence. Acts like this show the true Patriotism of the United States of America. I just hope to live long enough to where kindness, appreciation, comradeship and pride of being an American, can be felt on a DAILY basis instead of needing something tragic to happen to stand together as one. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN.
