Despite constant questioning, Maryland head coach Randy Edsall has not budged on his definition of "indefinite suspension" for wide receivers Ronnie Tyler and Quintin McCree. According to CBSSports.com's Dave Carey, both receivers have been practicing and attend all team meetings. But Edsall will not elaborate on how long they will go before they see the field in a game.

"[The suspension] could be two weeks, it could be four weeks, it could be six weeks, it could be the whole season," Edsall said. "They are going to have to regain my trust."

Edsall was asked against on Tuesday if there was a set process for the pair to follow in order to get back in good standing with the coach. Once again, Edsall revealed very little about his disciplinary system.

"I've got a plan in mind and I just hope to see what I need to see," he reiterated to the media. "None of the coaches know what it is, but so far, so good."

McCree, Tyler, and Kevin Dorsey combined for 21 of Danny O'Brien's 31 completions in the Terps' season opening victory over Miami. With both wide receivers missing against West Virginia, O'Brien struggled with his reads. Upon reviewing the game, Edsall commented that the sophomore quarterback needed to improve his distribution of the ball. One reason for the difference in the two performances could have been the absence of two preferred targets.

The official suspension is for violation of team rules, according to the school. But Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times cites a University Police report that indicates Tyler punched a non-student outside a 7-11 and then fled the scene when he spotted a cop. Tyler was charged with second-degree assault, and his day in court is scheduled for Nov. 1.
