A day after official Board of Regents meetings at Texas and Oklahoma had many believing the Red River rivals would head west, the Pac-12 announced they had other plans regarding membership. The following is the official statement from the Pac-12 regarding conference expansion, in which they state their plans to remain at 12 members.

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-- In light of the widespread speculation about potential scenarios for Conference re-alignment, the Pac-12 Presidents and Chancellors have affirmed their decision to remain a 12-team conference. Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said, “after careful review we have determined that it is in the best interests of our member institutions, student-athletes and fans to remain a 12-team conference. While we have great respect for all of the institutions that have contacted us, and certain expansion proposals were financially attractive, we have a strong conference structure and culture of equality that we are committed to preserve. With new landmark TV agreements and plans to launch our innovative television networks, we are going to focus solely on these great assets, our strong heritage and the bright future in front of us.””

keep taliking your crapc cause we don't give a damn

Uh, your previous angry rant suggests otherwise.  If you don't care then you know you don't...CARE.  It is of no consequence to you, which means you certainly don't go on a lame tirade about how everybody wants to wear UT gear and everybody else is whiny.  I mean, you get it right that everything about your posts says you do care.  You seem to care that everybody wants to wear yoru jersey, and that Texas was not to blame for the breakup of the Big 12, and that everybody agrees that UT is better than everybody else in the Big 12.  Wait...wasn't that the whole problem in the Big 12 to begin with according to schools like Nebraska and A&M?  Hmmmm....I think I'm seeing the problem here.  You certainly have every right to tout the greatness of your school - you're a fan after all.  But don't say you don't care when you so clearly do.  A lot.

Pac-12 will not expand in conference realignment

Dayipper can talk sh*t about TEXAS all he wants but the true fact is that all the nation hates TEXAS so much that they have to have their logo on all their shirts, shorts, caps,etc.etc.TEXAS continues to be the top selling merchandising school in the nation and about TEXAS bieng d1cks it takes one to know one, Nebraska was the biggest crybabies in the Big 12 cause TEXAS kicked their butt evertime we played them and Colorado was just trying to save their butt cuase they knew if the the Big 12 dissolved last year they were going to be totally left out cause WHO WANTS COLORADO? So they jumped to the Pac 10 so they could have a home, oh and the MASSIVE ADVANTAGE that A$M will have, yea right! We want them out of the state of TEXAS becuase they are the biggest whinners next to cornbaby. They agree to a contract and then cry foul , that they have been done wrong, well go tell someone who cares and I guess everybody that writes on this page does cause they all have tears for A$M, well give them a home cause we can't wait to get them out of the Big 12 and thier little dog too! TEXAS is going to be OK where ever they land and we are TEXAS so keep talikng your crapc cause we don't give a damm.

Pac-12 will not expand in conference realignment

And will OU will continue to kick your ass..... It doesnt matter what conf OU is looking out of, it will always be looking down at UM. OU is one of the top power houses in college football, and has been for years. Dont kid yourself thinking that it will change because of some conf realignment.  This was caused by UT greed.....not OU.  Circle of 8, 6, 4......doesnt matter, UM will never be able to do more than lick the sweat off the balls of OU. Keep dreamin

Pac-12 will not expand in conference realignment

The main point to all of this is:

It shows how gullible we all are.  We trust that what the "sources say" have any credibility whatsoever.  I can get a source to say anything I want as long as I don't disclose who it is!

When you chip all the BS away, the main thing we all should know by now is that the sportswriters and sportscasters will lead us around by the nose if we let them.  Don't believe anything until it becomes fact.

This is how we get crap ideas such as the Ohio State scandal deserves the death penalty.  SMU involved players being paid with knowledge going all the way up to the governer of the state.  Ohio State involved players selling their own stuff for walking-around money and $200 payment for travel expenses.  Yet we are gullible enough to believe that they are the same thing if the sportswriters and sportscasters imply that they are.

Pac-12 will not expand in conference realignment

Steve, which of the Pac-12 school did you attend?  Your English skills seem more SEC than Pac-12.  We may need to swap yours alma mater out.

Pac-12 will not expand in conference realignment

Texas has gone from the fun underdog people were pulling for when Vince Young snuck into the endzone to win the Rose Bowl, to the essence of Evil hated by the entire country.  It used to be that only Aggies broke out in a rash anytime UT was mentioned, but ever since Nebraska shed a little light on the inner workings of the Big 12, and Colorado said they wanted out primarily because conference equality wasnt possible with the UT greed, UT has become universally hated.  My how times change.

I'm surprised to see OU getting hosed in this, but I could see OU and Ok St. stick together while Texas backstabs Tech and leaves them behind to try and follow A&M to the SEC.

My gut tells me OU and Ok St. stay together and head for the Big 10 while Texas takes their Death Star to independence.

But it's crazy to think all this stemmed from Texas being d1cks to conference partners, and now it's got their program and the atheletic programs of all the remnant schools of the Big 12 in shambles.  The loss of recruits in the Big 12 is going to be a major shift in power, and the winner will be the conference and/or schools that can pull the Texas atheletes with the lure of exposure.  It's a shame so many schools are going down with them, but Texas may circle the drain and return to the stature they enjoyed in the 80s.

And it's even crazier to see the MASSIVE ADVANTAGE Texas A&M will have over them if they are able to get to the SEC while Texas stays in the mess their in.  Texas' best FU to the Aggies was going to be heading to the Pac-12 where everything except football is superior to the SEC.  With that opportunity blown, the Aggies have to be grinning ear to ear.

Pac-12 will not expand in conference realignment

Good call by the Pac for not letting dumb schools join the great Conference of Champions. Like ESPN have said today that there is no conference stronger than the Pac and that's for sure. Texas has ruined the Big 12 and they would have ruined the great Pac and the Pac schools said get your trailer trash school out of here and that is including Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., and Texas Tech. Brovo to the Pac because really Texas could never every compete with the big boys of the Pac and they defiantly are not an educated school like Washington, UCLA, USC, and Arizona have said just a couple of weeks ago and that is for sure. Sorry Texas but ruin the Big 12 or another conference for that matter because your not good enough for the Pac.

Wrong-Texas won't join the PAC-12 because the PAC-12 said it was not expanding-period.  So looks like Texas is stuck for now.Cry
