It seems that three games was all Ohio State head coach Luke Fickell needed to see from quarterback Joe Bauserman to realize a change was needed for the Buckeyes on offense. Fickell announced on his radio show Thursday morning that freshman Braxton Miller would start at quarterback for the Buckeyes on Saturday against Colorado.

While Bauserman performed well in Ohio State's opener against Akron, throwing for 3 touchdowns, he wasn't very good against Toledo and Miami the next two weeks. In those two games Bauserman completed only 41% of his passes for 202 yards and 1 touchdown. Miller also played well against Akron in the opener, throwing for 130 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 30 yards.

He didn't see any time on the field against Toledo, but played against Miami, throwing 4 passes for 22 yards. Like Bauserman, he didn't have much of a positive impact against Miami, and had two costly turnovers, but he also brought a bit of a spark to the Ohio State offense. Miller's ability to make things happen with his legs is just a facet of the offense that is not available when Bauserman is in the game.

It's also something that's needed with the suspensions of so many Buckeyes playmakers stemming from the fiasco last season that led to the dismissal of Jim Tressel and departure of Terrelle Pryor.

Miller was one of the most highly-touted quarterbacks coming out of high school last season, and was seen as the eventual successor to Pryor in Columbus. While he wasn't supposed to be starting this soon, it's become pretty clear that Ohio State isn't going to win the Big Ten this season with Bauserman at the helm, so it seems the coaching staff feels it's time for Miller to get some experience.

Though Bauserman is still expected to share time with Miller under center.

When you have what is easily the crapiest city in all of N. America (and possibly the entire 1st World) there is not much you can say.  Get rid of Detroit, Michigan then you can talk.

Hey, Loser. Forbes recently did a list of the most miserable places to live in the US, and Ohio had 3 of the top 20 cities, and they're all ranked worse than Detroit.

cincinnati is a shithole???  i have lived there.  i am not crazy about it,  but there places i have been to in the u.s. that are worse.  shoot, you only have to go about 20 miles south into KY before you start seeing shirtless, obese people everywhere who prob live in double wides and collect disability checks.   cincinnati may suck compared to class cities like san diego, boston, or even atlanta, but it beats the pants off a good number of places too.  it is all relative.

I've been an Ohio State fan all my life. I'm not fond of Michigan as much as the next Buckeye is and I believe the last 10 years they got back what they gave us but the way you guys talk about each other is appalling! Show some respect to each other.

This is an OSU article.  Gabbo del coward and Penes Minor came on here.  we are not supposed to fire back?  i am regarded as one of more civil and level headed guys on these board.  i try to see the good and make nice with most people, sec, pac, east coast, even some fans of the hated michgan.  I will have a discussion with a michigan fan if it is respectul, but i will not tolerate these clowns spewing nonsense.  I do not suffer fools (some michigan fans) gladly.  nobody forced them to come on osu related thread and talk smack.  they chose to.

Last I checked Philadelphia is about as cold and gray as anywhere else in the north, and didn't they just get jacked by a hurricane last month. Pennsylvania's economy doesn't exactly scream "Pennsylvania is the place you oughta be!" either. Having said, I agree with what you said about Miller. Anyone who follows Ohio State even remotely could tell that Braxton Miller is 3 times the QB that Bauserman is right now. He will get much better with playing time as the year goes along, especially when Ohio State gets all of their playmakers back. Ohio State may well be 3-0 if Fickell would've just declared Miller the starter at the outset of Fall Camp instead of assuming a 26-year old senior who never played (I wonder why?) was going to be able to cut it. Fickell cost himself a legit chance to keep the job. Now, Ohio State has to figure out how to keep the whole season from unraveling because their John Cooper-clone dumba$$ coach didn't have the nuts to do what anyone with a brain knew he should've done; sat Blowserman on the bench in 3rd string, and played Braxton Miller from the start.

First of all - we're talking about Michigan and Ohio, no one should be bragging about which state is better than the other unless you would like to spend 8 months a year in a cold, gray snowy ass climate. Not to mention the economic situation that the region is in, recommendation ? get out as fast as you can. And second - any state in the US is better than any where else on this planet! This Miller kid can play the game and it's good to see him in there, why not? They got nothing to lose.
