Two weeks ago, Florida State was a top-5 team one win away from being considered a national championship contender. After two tough losses to Oklahoma and Clemson, the Seminoles get a much-needed off week to get healthy and fix some on-field issues. Unfortunately, they are going to have to keep dealing with off-field issues.

Cornerback Greg Reid was arrested early Monday morning by the Tallahassee Police Department and charged with misdemeanor perjury (not in an official proceeding) and resisting an officer without violence.

The junior cornerback is also a key piece of the Seminoles' return game, and sat out Florida State's 35-30 loss to Clemson on Saturday.  Reid injured his right knee in the loss to Oklahoma on Sept. 17 and was on the sideline for the loss, but never saw the field.  Reid and linebacker Telvin Smith received one-game suspensions earlier in the season for a violations of unspecified team rules. It is unknown at this point whether or not the suspensions and arrest are connected in any way.

texigator sounds like a typical Gaytor a-hole.  Like the Gaytors have any room to talk about "criminals".  I think they had more run-ins with the law than any other program in the country over the last few years, right?
But y'all have no trouble coming over and giving us shyte whenever one of our guys gets in trouble, but when it's a Semenhole f'ing up, all we hear about is "Oh, the Gators have way more arrests".  Y'all have had your fair share of run-ins with the law over the last few years as well, so don't get all pissy whenever someone calls you out, just like you do us.  So quit your bitchin' and take it like a man, just like the ass whoopin' you're gonna be takin' in November.....

FSU lost its 2 hardest games with many backup players in very close fashions and they are not back? They will likely be 9-2 heading into the Swamp in November with a better record than any team in the state of FL
Spoken like a true homer whose blind to any facts or reality.  Yes, you lost your two hardest games SO FAR, but most will agree that @ FSU at night is always a hard win, and Clemson's not exactly the cream of the crop of the ACC just yet.  Don't let your blind, ignorant hatred of the Gators fool you into believing you're automatically the best team in FL, it just makes you look like a bigger jackass than you already are.  Facts and onfield action would prove y'all are FAR from the best in FL.  Wake up buddy, it's 2011, not 1999 anymore, and you're STILL NOT BACK!!!

Smchap and albezzy are your typical african american males that also thinks the white man is to blame for everything.  Apparently as indicated it, it was black police officers that did the arrest.  Seen it a million times while working in a prison all these 30 years.  There are so many good african americans going to work and doing their part for all people then you have guys like this that should have probably done time in prison or have but have been given so many breaks.  Cops, military, prison personnel have a very tough time because the laws are so screwed up because it protects the guilty more than the innocent.  And that is the typical racist black, "get the NAACP or civil rights group, Rev AL or Jesse".  Makes me sick everytime someone comes up with this.  I respect all law enforcement.  They definitely deserve more. And ALBEZZY if you really earned that much, your overpaid. And smchp, go back to prison.

>>>>We need less cops and more dollars for education.

More dollars for education accomplishes nothing if students have no interest in learning. And our poorest communities are poor for that very reason - mommas have a sixth grade education, biological fathers probably don't even know they have any kids (or if they do they don't care) and they have a sixth grade education, too.

What we need is more money to take kids on field trips to Zimbabwe, Somalia or Kenya. Let 'em walk around in a major town for a few hours. If they survive with their shoes, watches and wallets intact, bring 'em on home. Then maybe they'll realize they're damn lucky to live in the USA and it's their own fault if they can't make anything of themselves, and paying attention in school would be a good first step.

First you're lying about your income. Next you were probably guilty. Lastly, these were black cops so forget about race.

The incident was over a scooter wreck.....his  ?freind? Rontel was driving the scooter and ran away from police when they arrived....the officers traced the vehicle back to Reid and when they contacted him he was uncooperative in giving the name of his freind, when the officer 1st tried to arrest Reid he backed away.....then on the way to jail he made veiled threats to the officer.......a good lawyer will have this thrown out....Reid should have cooperated with the officers but they could have handled the situation without an arrest.......his freind turned himself in

Those on the police force do not write the law, they simply enfoce it.  Sure, discresion is a large part of the job and there are certainly some rotten apples in the bunch, but to cast a wide net like that and say that "no true American would become a cop other than for a paycheck" is the biggest pile of crap ever.  Harrasing the general population?  Are you serious?
