Texas loses Christian Scott indefinitely

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that when Christian Scott is an old man reflecting on his college football career, 2011 won't be the highlight. The season started with Scott being suspended for the first three games of the season after attacking a woman who was trying to repossess his car. Scott was finally able to get back on the field on Saturday in Texas' win over Iowa State, but it's going to be a while before he sees any more action.

Scott injured his right wrist during the game and according to Texas trainer Kenny Boyd, Scott is out indefinitely.

Which means the Texas secondary is getting pretty thin. Scott was a backup safety, but with fellow safety Nolan Brewster announcing that he was giving up football last week, that leaves the Longhorns with a pair of freshman behind Blake Gideon and Kenny Vaccaro.

Mykkele Thompson and Sheroid Evans are now behind Gideon and Vaccaro on the depth chart, as is sophomore Adrian Phillips who has seen time at cornerback in the nickel package this season.

It's not exactly the best position to be in with the Longhorns having to face Landry Jones, Ryan Broyles and the Oklahoma passing attack this weekend.

Texas loses Christian Scott indefinitely

LOL..it god to see Texas players are responsible for their cars...now if you don't pay wave good-bye to it....

Horrible timing on injuries and having a young Longhorn team up against a veteran Sooner team looks real bad on paper.  However, that's the beauty of the Red River Rivalry...what's on paper means nothing.  The Longhorns go into this game with nothing to lose so Mack ought to have these guys playing loose.  The Sooners on the other hand know they must win this game to stay in the BCS hunt with Alabama and LSU.  Hoping it will be another great addition of this rivalry!!!  Hook 'Em Horns!!!

LOL.....good point.

I doubt they can say the same thing at USC or Auburn!
The good news is that Texas players apparently pay for their cars.

Christian Scott attacked a woman? Ummm... poor word choice. He pulled a woman out of his car as she was trying to reposess it. Hardly an attack. Not that what he did was right but it's not like he went Lawrence Phillips on anyone.

The good news is that Texas players apparently pay for their cars.
