It's the game of the week. It's the game of the regular season. Heck, it may even be better than the upcoming BCS Championship. It's No. 1 LSU at No. 2 Alabama, and it's going to be held under the lights on Bryant-Denny Stadium, in prime time on CBS.

CBS Sports announced on Sunday that it would televise LSU-Alabama starting at 8:00 E.T. on November 5, with the lead announcing team of Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist in the booth. Tracy Wolfson will be the lead reporter.

Fans not near a television can also catch the game streaming live here at CBSSports.com.

LSU-Alabama to be held in prime time on CBS

Bama is good but LSU's defense & Special Teams are WOW!!  I don't see how Bama wins.  I'll be rooting for my Pitt Panthers during the day but at night I'll be loving this game.

LSU-Alabama to Play BCS National Championship

LSU-Alabama to Play in the BCS National Championship. Twice.
The winner of the November 5th game in Tuscaloosa between Alabama and LSU will be in the BCS National Championship game. These two teams are not only the class of the South Eastern Conference, but the country. The will dominate the SEC East participant in the SEC Championship Game. Ironically the loser may be playing for the BCS National Championship as well. A loss this early is not a total disaster for a team from the SEC.
Oklahoma State is the logical #2 after the November 5th game.  But, they will need to get past Oklahoma, Kansas State, Texas Tech and Baylor. Any one or two of these schools can beat Oklahoma State. I think they are a strong contender at this point, but how can you deny the rest of the schedule? A one loss LSU or Alabama will jump over a later loss by Oklahoma State. Then you have to justify a one loss SEC school over an undeafeated Boise State. Strength of schedule, case closed. It will be an all SEC National Championship!
An SEC School will win the National Chanpionship, Again.

LSU-Alabama to be held in prime time on CBS

I cannot wait for this game.  I am a huge SEC fan (Arkansas specific).  This should be the BCS championship game and if all is right in the world it will be.  When AR played Alabama earlier this year I was shocked by the fact that we have a good team, but Bama is playing a different level of football.  All points to the same for LSU.  Anyone (other conferences) that says any different is lieing to themselves, and would know it if they would take the time to watch these 2 teams play.  I hope that the game is all everything I expect it to be... Roll Tide! Tiger Bait! Great football!

Great game in the SEC's best stadium and most classy and knowledgable fans. LSU is loaded, but Bama is better coached and plays smarter. We shall see.

LSU-Alabama to be held in prime time on CBS

LSU has a long tradition of playing under the lights. Because CBS always gets first choice, they have picked LSU now 4 games in a row. Kind of good news bad news, like the national exposure but hate day games. Just wish CBS would shift their primetime spot to 7pm cst, permanently, like ABC!

LSU-Alabama to be held in prime time on CBS

Big Ten fan here saying the winner of this game should get the invite into the BCS title game.  i also believe the loser of the game should get into the BCS title game as well.  SEC is king!  There, I said it.  I thought Oklahoma was close but not anymore.  By the way, did you know Verne Lundquist is so old he actually fought in the civil war?

I can't wait for this game. I think LSU has the advantage in skill players. You can pass on BAMA but it's hard to run. I do think the SEC is down this year except for these two teams. They can only lose in two weeks so it will be awesome to see what happens to the loser of this game. I'm as big as a BAMA fan as they come but I don't like us against their WR'S in a jump ball situation, and our special teams lack what they have. I think it will be 23-20 LSU but my heart and head says BAMA 56-3.
