It's the game of the week. It's the game of the regular season. Heck, it may even be better than the upcoming BCS Championship. It's No. 1 LSU at No. 2 Alabama, and it's going to be held under the lights on Bryant-Denny Stadium, in prime time on CBS.

CBS Sports announced on Sunday that it would televise LSU-Alabama starting at 8:00 E.T. on November 5, with the lead announcing team of Gary Danielson and Verne Lundquist in the booth. Tracy Wolfson will be the lead reporter.

Fans not near a television can also catch the game streaming live here at CBSSports.com.

LSU-Alabama to be held in prime time on CBS

Can somebody tell me what I'm missing?  Why are LSU fans upset about none of their home games being at night while on CBS ?  CBS ALWAYS plays their primetime game at 3:30.  This one is epic, so they are making an exception.  It happens to be at Tuscaloosa.  If it was in Baton Rouge, the game would still be at 8pm.

The comments lead you to believe that CBS has a few night games every year when actually, they never do.

What am I missing here?

Why the bad feelings towards CBS ?

LSU-Alabama to be held in prime time on CBS

Thank you for screwing up a 75 year tradition of night time football at LSU Tiger Stadium this year for broadcast convenience.  However thank you also for agreeing to broadcast the top game of the year in prime time.  It's going to be a classic.  Make sure Verne and Gary have had their naps before gametime so that they can show some enthusiasm for BOTH teams.

PATUNIA67-You obviously didn't watch Les Miles outcoach the pants off the your big eared, little midget of a coach last year? All I'm going to say is it should be a heck og a game. Both are classy programs with great players and coaches. They represent the best the SEC has to offer. Geaux Tigers!!!
