On Monday, Pennsylvania state police commissioner Frank Noonan and attorney general Linda Kelly encouraged alleged victims of former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky to come forward and assist the state's investigation. Noonan and Kelly publicized two phone numbers for the potential victims to call in order to contact investigators. One day later, it looks as if their call has been heard.

According to Fox 29 in Philadelphia, the number of alleged victims in the Sandusky case has doubled, and now approaches 20. As of Monday, Sandusky had been charged with indecent acts against eight minors.

Sources tell Fox 29 since a press conference on Monday, the number of potential victims has more than doubled in the case.

On Monday, Pennsylvania state attorney general Linda Kelly said the Sandusky case was consideried an on-going investigation and more charges could be coming.

According to the grand jury presentment, Sandusky's alleged sexual assaults on minors stretch back to his days as a Penn State coach, and more allegedly occurred in Penn State football facilities even after Sandusky had retired.

There have been no details about the new allegations publicized as yet, and though additional charges may yet be issued, Sandusky still faces the 40 charges he was issued on Friday. Thus, at this time the official facts about the Sandusky case remain the same.

Those with information have been asked to contact investigators from the Office of Pennsylvania Attorney General at 814-863-1053 or Pennsylvania State Police at 814-470-2238.

Report: Alleged Sandusky victim number doubles

Here's the bit I don't understand: forget Joe Paterno and the AD and others for a moment... apparently, nine years ago one of the Grad Assistants literally witnessed a shocking act in a shower involving Sandusky and a ten year old boy. I mean walked in on it.

Now this is not about bravado or being some kind of Internet hero, this is just how it is: if that had been me I would have rushed to stop it and beaten the living shit out of Sandusky. I am a father of two boys, and I have to think that almost every Dad in the world would react that way. There's no politics in this, no consideration given to his position on campus - any right-thinking person would have confronted him directly. The fact that this person chose only to report what he witnessed is, frankly, very disappointing. How could anyone walk in on that and not confront this predator is beyond me.

Read the Report People...It reports that the assistant coach who witnessed Sandusky raping the boy told Paterno what he saw, in graphic fashion! That's why this is such a big deal! The report wasn't sugar coated, the administration covered it up.  If Tressel can lose his job for not reporting tattoos??? C'mon Man...Joe Pa's gotta go.

Once again Guys

Good god, I really hate defending these guys in this situation but can somebody please attempt to distinguish what happened-- He obviously wasn't told that a former coach was raping a boy--- he was told a former coach was acting really weird and there were really weird sounds coming from where the coach was at.    Do you see why this changes the entire issue?  It changes the issue because it changes his responsibility and changes what he should have done.  If something just appeared weird, he can't just go to the cops. He reported it to the people above him who weren't old and scenile who he expected to investigate the thing properly.  I can listen to Paterno speak and tell you he didn't understand the magnitude of this.  Good god, the guy has been scenile for 15 years. Get a clue.

Distinguish the statement that was made---it does not appear he was told anything nearly that severe.  McQueary has flip flopped left and right.
Rip those clowns like the AD, the VP and even McQueary all day, but I think it's pretty obvious if you read the Grand Jury Testimony, Paterno clearly had no understanding of what happened.

Wins verse Sins. Any statements that come out of PSU from this point forward cannot be believed as the propoganda machine is in full damage control mode. They sat on this for too long without coming clean and removing Mr. Spanier, Mr. Paterno, Mr. Curley, Mr. McQueary and Mr. Schultz immediately. Let's be perfectly clear, Joe Paterno is not the victim here. Let's be even more clear, when people (Paterno, Spanier, Curley, Schultz, Sandusky, McQueary, etc.) believe they are bigger than the institution and play by their own rulebook, there is only one way out for the institution, clean house.

The Board of Trustees is risking too much by waiting and not acting. They need to consider the lives of the innocent boys first and foremost. They need to apologize and not "pray" for the innocent children as Mr. Paterno suggested. Joe should have apologized first, but in order to do that, he would need to feel some type of remorse for his actions. He obviously doesn't feel remorse or he would have apologized. Now, the few supporters indicate that he really did the legally correct thing. Legally correct, not morally correct.

Not too long ago, a President at Ohio State quipped something along the line that Jim Tressel might fire him. Unfortunately, the same thought processes and culture exist at PSU. Clean house and start anew PSU. The institution is bigger than a few of its parts. Make the right call and move forward. The sooner the better. Let a new administration come in and build a program of integrity, honesty and moral fortitude. In a few years, the reputation will be restored because of the swift action taken by the Board. However, if you want this to drag on through all the upcoming litigation for years to come, don't do anything and support those with obvious moral shortcomings. I am not perfect and don't expect perfection in people because it is impossible to achieve. I am big enough to admit my mistakes and shortcomings. The Board should do that as well.

Sandusky sucked a little boys penis and had anal/oral sex with countless other boys...that to me is what a homosexual my logic is sound.

Time to do the right thing....finally

I have always liked Joe Pa even though I felt he has overstayed his welcome by a few years already. But this isn't about what Joe Pa did when he heard one of his former coaches was caught raping a boy in the locker room. It is about what he didn't do when he heard one of his coaches was caught raping a boy in the locker room. The fact that Sandusky has been able to do anything but answer that accusation for the past 9 years is appaling. Joe Pa has to take some of that responsibility, in fact, a lot of that responsibility. If he doesn't see that, he has truly lost his sense of decency and purpose that has made him a great coach. You screwed up Joe Pa, and now you have to retire in a shameful way. When you heard what happened and did next to nothing, all I can think of is shame on you.

Sandusky is a dirtbag no doubt. He is also a homosexual. This is a clear reason why I would hate to have my kids around a homo...because ALL homosexuals are PREDATORS!
