Texas and UCLA completed a home-and-home series earlier this season, and in both this year's game and last year's, the road team won each contest. So what better way to decide the series between schools than at a neutral location?

It was announced on Thursday that the two schools would meet again in 2014 in Cowboys Stadium.

The game is tentatively scheduled to be held on September 13th, 2014 and be nationally televised. However, UCLA currently has a game against Virginia scheduled for that date, so both schools will have to figure out a way to reschedule that game.

Texas and UCLA to play in Cowboys Stadium

maybe someone should put down the bong and check facts. Bama played clemson and VT in 08 and 09, both ranked, Penn State back to back for the last two years (both ranked) and then opens vs. Michigan next year. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the ACC and Big 10 AQ conferences. And maybe you were to stoned to remember the waxing Oregon got from LSU at the start of this year.

UCLA sucks. Good for Dodds getting them in "neutral" Arlington. But, I am shocked to see Dodds was able to adjust the Texas non conference schedule since they were locked in until 2018 and unable to find a way to schedule A&M. The fans from Texas could give a rat about seeing them play UCLA (though it is better than the vaunted Florida Atlantic, Rice, UTEP rivalies of late)

Play A&M for God's sake---quite feeling like you have to punish them for moving next door. Hell, make em come to Austin two years in a row, or play them at JerryLand. You can keep playing Rice, and now that Texas State and UTSA are moving up to FBS, play them--but grow a pair and quite looking like you are too afraid of really losing the recruiting war if you risk having the weaker conference and a chance to lose face to face. If you really want to continue to win the recruiting war with A&M, continue to play and often beat them. Right now kids are going to face trips to Ames, Stillwater, and Manhatten as opposed to trips to Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, etc.

Grow a pair, Texas

Texas does have USC on their schedule but it is not until 2017. By then you may be saying ball up and put UCLA on their schedule. These schedulas are made years in advance and one cannot predict how good/bad a team is going to be in the next 4 years. Look at Florida this year.

This is when the SEC faithful go silent.  You can add Tennessee to that UCLA sweep mix.

UT, ball up and schedule Oregon or USC...hell, man up and take on LSU or BAMA for that matter. This is an insignificant game and not newsworthy.

The last time UCLA scheduled Alabama they swept a home and home series.  So it is probably in the best interests of the SEC teams to hide. LSU does schedule Pac-12 teams. But they won't come to LA or the bay area.

Oh yeah...LSU scheduling Oregon at "Jerry World" wasn't much of a neutral site either.  Heck when LSU plays Northwestern state they don't even go on the road....at least Texas did travel to El Paso to play UTEP which again, is at least in CUSA.  Good luck against mighty Western Kentucky...LOL!

How do you know they haven't tried and got turned down?  LSU and Bama are too powerful to schedule big games during the seaon...their OOC games consist of colleges like Coastal Carolina, the Citadel and Georgia Southern...at least Texas is taking on a PAC12 team.

The worst Texas did this year (OOC) was schedule Rice, BYU and UCLA....at least those teams compete in Bowl conferences....

Check your facts before you post uneducated and moronic comments.  UT has a home and home series set with USC in 2017 and 2018.  UT also has four games set with Nortre Dame, with home and home series in 2015 and 2016, and again in 2019 and 2020.  For that matter, UT also has a home and home series set with Cal in 2015 and 2016.
