In one of the biggest signs yet that the scandal involving former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky is still intensifying, PennLive.com's Sara Ganim reported on Tuesday that two new cases of alleged child abuse by Sandusky are being investigated. Also, since the investigation on these two new cases is being done by Child and Youth Services in Pennsylvania, that means the two alleged victims are still under 18 today.

This is believed to be the first time Child and Youth Services has become involved in this investigation, as the other five alleged victims coming forward to assist the investigation are now currently adults (though all were children at the time of the alleged incidents). Under Pennsylvania state law, allegations of abuse made by adults are handled solely by the police; it's only when a minor makes an allegation that Child and Youth Services is used.

There is no word on when the alleged incidents in these newly opened cases occurred, just that the cases were opened within the past 60 days. Earlier, it was reported that a dozen new potential victims had come forward to Pennsylvania state prosecutors, though it is unclear whether these two new cases are the result of children coming forward before or after the 40 sexual assault charges were formally brought against Sandusky. Further, it should be noted that the cases have not resulted in any new charges being pressed, though that may certainly change once the investigations have concluded.

In an interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday morning, Sandusky attorney Joe Amendola said he believed more charges could be brought against his client, and he worries that the additional charges may result in Sandusky being sent back to jail. Amendola did not specify what led him to believe that more charges would be coming.

Sandusky's preliminary hearing on the charges is set for December 13 in Centre County court.

Two new Sandusky child abuse cases opened

XSGAME

We all know there has never been a prominent black person caught red-handed who skated through the legal system, or does the name Marion Barry ring a bell.  Barry was VIDOETAPED smoking crack cocaine while he was the MAYOR OF WASHINGTON DC, does 6 months in a resort prison, then gets out and becomes the MAYOR OF WASHINGTON DC again.  Wow, he really got the shaft on that one.

You Jesse Jackson wanna-be, do you really think Sandusky is going to escape this time?

There was another guy, O J Simpson, who got a free ride through court, remember that one ?

It happens all the time regardless of race.  Focus on what is important in this case, not your personal agenda.

The interesting part is how many of these cases are actually true and how many are just doing it for the money? I feel for the ones who were legitimately abused by this guy, but makes you wonder how many more people are going to come out of the woodwork looking for an easy payday.

Two new Sandusky child abuse cases opened

I fully agree that if I were Sandusky I'd kill myself or, if I were a real man I'd admit my guilt and accept my fate.  I know that every man deserves his opportunity at justice and I would rather die myself than see someone ruled guilty without a trial however after reading the current indictment, the list of witnesses, and the ever-growing list of victims (not to mention the Bob Costas interview) to me, Sandusky is already guilty.  Yes, I know that Sandusky may have some pertinent evidence to present in his defense but I find it hard to believe that Sandusky's evidence will somehow counteract the ridiculously long list of allegations.  I'm sorry but how do ten victims plus witnesses all simultaneously lie?  To believe that all of these people are lying is to believe that the PA Attorney General's Office has a vendetta against Sandusky, PSU, and possibly Joe Paterno.  I don't buy that there is a conspiracy so to me Sandusky is guilty as sin.

Unfortunately child molestation is a disease of the mind that spreads rapidly if untreated.  I read a study that says that something like 90% of molesters were themselves molested - that leaves 10% of molesters as pure sexual psychopaths.  That said, molesters have a choice to molest or get help - unfortunately too many choose the later.  For those who choose to practice this evil act they should be strung-up and slowly beaten to death.  Sandusky is lucky that our constitution outlaws cruel and unusual punishment otherwise I'm sure that we would treat Sandusky like a middle eastern adulterer and we would stone him to death.  I guess my anger at Sandusky can bring out my own inner psychopath while I think of ways that I would like to see him die.  No, I'm not making death threats - I'm simply saying words that can be categorized as empty threats because I would never act on my rage.  I am just like every other American who is outraged by Sandusky's acts, PSU's response to allegations against Sandusky, and Paterno's desire to protect his football program instead of doing the right thing and making sure that the police were at least notified.  Hell, when victim #1 (named by the PA AG) was caught in the act being victimized by Sandusky Paterno had the clout to request (and would have likely received) a descrete investigation which would have likely led to charges against Sandusky and Paterno's legend could have been further enhanced by his decision to put the interests of a child ahead of the reputation of a major university and it's legendary football program.

Something that is interesting to me is the fact that McQuery has stated that he did notify the police - contrary to a statement by the police that no such report was made.  I wonder if McQuery has witnesses that can attest to the fact that he did indeed make a report.  If McQuery did indeed make a report and it can be verified I recommend that the State College PD be phased out and all future policing of the campus be handled by the adjacent town with money paid by PSU to fund the enhanced police force needed to patrol the campus.  Also, if the current Chief of Police was the sworn Chief of the State College PD at the time of the report and it can be verified that McQuery was telling the truth that he did indeed notify the police the Chief should also be charged with perjury and quite possibly more severe charges.

The most surprising thing about all of this for me is the fact that Sandusky's wife is standing by him through all of this - has she not read the indictment?  How could the wife not know that Sandusky was sneaking out of bed at night to visit his "foundation visitors".  How could the wife not see that her husband was developing unhealthy relationships with young boys.  Is Sandusky's wife that STUPID or that IGNORANT or just IN DENIAL?  I do not think that Sandusky's wife is a moron, I think she is an ignorant idiot and that she should also be charged with conspiracy to commit child rape for not notifying police of her husband's activities.  Yes, I am serious - love for your husband does NOT justify allowing a child to be raped or even yet, molested in her home.

It is with situations like this that I support the death penalty for child rapists.  Does the punishment fit the crime?  Yes, because committing child rape or molestation is affecting the entire life of the person who has been victimized.  How can being raped be just like being murdered?  Easy, have your life ruined because a trusted adult figure took your innocence.  Being victimized by the opposite sex can be traumatizing - imagine if you were not homosexual but your first sexual experience was with an adult man?  Damn - I don't even want to think about what kind of confusion I would have sexually when I reached the age to have such thoughts about the opposite sex.  I think it is this confusion that leads to so many victims becoming offenders.  We need to stop the cycle of child violence through education and our country should offer free counseling services to any person who seeks treatment after having been victimized as a child.  Adults should be able to name their accusors without fear of a statute of limitations that protects so many of these offenders.  If it can be verified through evidence even 50 years after the offense occurred it should be legal to file charges against the perpetrator.  I don't care if after 50 years the severity of the punishment is reduced to mental health counseling because getting these sick people treatment is better than doing nothing.  Let's be proactive in our response to what happened at PSU and stop the cycle of violence!
