UCLA was blown out 50-0 by USC on Saturday night to finish the season at 6-6 and 5-4 in the Pac-12, but thanks to some NCAA sanctions currently in place at USC, the Bruins will be playing in the inaugural Pac-12 Championship against Oregon on Friday. Which means that there's a chance the 6-6 Bruins could end up playing in the Rose Bowl.

Though it doesn't seem that is going to be enough to save Rick Neuheisel's job at the school. According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, Neuheisel will meet with UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero after the game to discuss his future at the school, and the report says the chances Neuheisel will retain his job are "bleak."

When Guerrero was asked about Neuheisel's job status on Saturday, he responded to a question about whether or not a Rose Bowl berth would be enough to save Neuheisel's job by answering "that we're preparing to play for the Rose Bowl should be exciting for all Bruins fans." An answer that doesn't exactly answer anything. When asked if he would bring Neuheisel back if UCLA reached the Rose Bowl, Guerrero ended the interview.

Neuheisel just finished his fourth season at UCLA, and he's 21-28 in that span.

Report: Neuheisel done after Pac-12 title game

Well stated but I'm afraid you got it all wrong. Once Boisie State joins a credible conference they will earn their BCS bowls. Boise State could not survive in the SEC. If they would have moved to the PAC 12 I don't see them out recruiting USC, Oregon, or UCLA. Eventually UCLA will get rid of Neuheisel and become competive.

Report: Neuheisel done after Pac-12 title game

I can understand about coaches being fired when they don't have winning seasons.  The one thing I can't understand is how the BCS can keep non bcs schools out of the bcs games when they are ranked in the top 10.  I know it is all about the money and they want to make the best match ups but when the BCS put TCU and Boise State against each other in the Fiesta Bowl was a disgrace to them.  They should have been put against some other BCS teams and let them play.  But the BCS and the big schools were afraid to play them and get beat by the smaller schools as good as TCU and Boise State.  Look at Boise States record they have played Acc,Sec schools early in their seasons and even Pac 12 teams and they have beaten them.  Boise State has the right to be in a BCS bowl this year.  Why don't the Sec give up some of their automatic bids to bowl games and give them to the smaller conferences.  How I see it they don't want to play Boise State in Boise cause they are afraid to get beat.  So, Boise State travels back to a neutral field which I can say hardly neutral cause where they played and they have beaten them.  Why don't the BCS people pull their heads out and go to a playoff system.  This BCS us BS.  Who wants to watch LSU and Alabama play again.  To me the first game was pathetic.  LSU is not that good.

If Orientals were good football players UCLA would be a top 3 program.   Times are changing..UCLA should concentrate on ping pong from her on in.

The football team was dressed like girls in all white. And we treated them like prom nite dates. Hahahahahahahahaha

Mr. Gerrero, Neuheisel is our favorite UCLA coach ever! Please, let him stay. I hope UCLA beats Oregon some type of way.

Report: Neuheisel done after Pac-12 title game

Neuheisel normally leaves his programs mired in investigations, NCAA sanctions, and then flames. UCLA is playing for the PAC-12 title(obviously very lucky with the USC situation).  He hasn't had enough time to destroy UCLA football. Give him 2 more years please.
