The award is about the best player in College Football that given year.  RG3 had a great year, much better than Andrew Luck.  I agree that Luck will blow the rest of these guys away in the NFL, but that's not at all what this award is about.  One thing I am glad to see is that this award usually favors the best player on the best team for coinciding years.  This year that was not the case.  A QB from Baylor won.  I'm glad to see the voters bucked the trend and picked the best player this year.

I hope RG III enjoys his 15 seconds of fame.  The award is a joke.  Luck will excel in the NFL.  Barlkey will excel in the NFL.  RG III will be a trivia question.
