Miles: All LSU players academically eligible

Any fears about LSU missing key players for the national championship showdown with Alabama have been proven unfounded.

Miles announced at his Friday press conference that all members of the Tiger roster would be academically eligible for the postseason. Multiple outlets, including CBSSports.com, had reported that several players could have been in danger of missing the Alabama rematch with academic trouble.

"We have been able to determine there are no academic casualties," Miles said. "I don't think we've lost any guys in bowl prep at any school I've been at. It's a fundamental. They want to be there for the back end. It's a great incentive to do well."

The news will obviously be a huge relief to any worried Tiger fans, whose team will almost certainly need all hands on deck to fend off the challenge of the nation's No. 2 team in New Orleans Jan. 9. After opening as a one-point favorite, LSU is now a one-point underdog to the Tide according to Vegasinsider.com.

the only thing "gift-wrapped" was Sabans stupid play calling. I guess 3 long FG attempts sounded better to him then trying to win field position and trusting his defense. And that was a great int. maybe you were at the game and didnt see the 20+ slow motion replays clearly showing it as a int on HD. Or more likely you were out gathering more pesticide to go kill some trees.

Good!
We don't want LSU to have any excuses when the Tide cleans their clocks in the BCS Championship game.
Geaux Tide!

This article was all about academic eligibility, therefore merits academic smack.  Face it...we're smarter, wealthier and better educated... and we have a long history and tradition of playing damn good football and sending players to the NFL.

True to form, if you had actually read the NCAA report, you would know that the university did not, nor did a USC booster/alum pay any player to attend USC, but acording to Gator/Hurrican Paul Dee, "high-profile athletes demand high-profile compliance."

Schadenfreude never felt so sweet.  Maybe the grand inquisitor should have looked up from the trouth while feeding his gross fat face..he might have noticed the blatant violations right under his pig nose.

Yes, because you are an expert on the academics at every school in the country. Lol @ academic trash talk. Who cares? This is college football, not a quiz bowl.

Reading comprehension an issue?  The response was specific, mocking your academics, or lack thereof.  Only a freakin' moron would fail at LSU.

That's not the way I read it.  Apparently, a drunk ex- Marine was out stalking his ex-girlfriend.  He got thrown out of the bar, then picked a fight in the parking lot and got his butt kicked. If he was the hero on the parking lot, surely someone would have called the police during the melee to come to his rescue. I'm thinking he may have gotten a well-deserved butt-kicking.  We're entitled to our own opinions, but not to our own "facts".

Of course they're all eligible.  How hard can it be in the Special Education Conference? Particularly LSU, all you need to be academically eligible is to know how to write your name and color within the lines. What a massive joke.
