Any fears about LSU missing key players for the national championship showdown with Alabama have been proven unfounded.

Miles announced at his Friday press conference that all members of the Tiger roster would be academically eligible for the postseason. Multiple outlets, including CBSSports.com, had reported that several players could have been in danger of missing the Alabama rematch with academic trouble.

"We have been able to determine there are no academic casualties," Miles said. "I don't think we've lost any guys in bowl prep at any school I've been at. It's a fundamental. They want to be there for the back end. It's a great incentive to do well."

The news will obviously be a huge relief to any worried Tiger fans, whose team will almost certainly need all hands on deck to fend off the challenge of the nation's No. 2 team in New Orleans Jan. 9. After opening as a one-point favorite, LSU is now a one-point underdog to the Tide according to Vegasinsider.com.

LSU is the more talented team all the way around anyway...they could actually lose a couple players and still be the better team!  I expect them to win by 10 this time around being that it's on a neutral field.

Stats say diffrent. LSU was handed "Gift Wrapped " that win by stupid refs that made a bad call on int. then let the honey mugger horse collar and call holding. I bet he get HURT BAD in this game! I hope his Football carrer ends in the BCS game. I hope he never suits up again.

I beleive we had the best chance to win this game the first time. I felt like we were the better team in november, and should have won the game. We did not however and now im not so sure that LSU isnt the better team. I think its possible that if these two teams were to play 10 times it could be split 5-5 with a margin of victory around 50-50. I also know for fact that any team can win any game given the right circumstances and with so much time to prepare they'll be ready. I just hope we (LSU N UA FANS) can agree that these are the two best teams. We both played our schedules and earned our right to this game. In H.S. and the NFL and also the other college divisions as well as other sports teams play each other twice, in the regular season and also the playoffs, so to say that one team shouldnt have to play the same team twice your essentially saying that about every sport. Some of the best rivalries come from teams playing to the wire in the regular season and then having to face each other again in a playoff/championship matchup. Although our system is unfair, ( I hate the voting system, even though it benefited my team this year) these are the teams that were chosen and no matter who wins we should give them thier due. The winner has every right to all National Championship Labels and I hope its my team. Im not sure it will be and if its not then I congradulate the Tigers, cause they will have most certainly earned it. ROLL TIDE!!

Scoreboard!

I would have thought Bama fans would understand this very simple concept.  The team with the most points wins.  LSU won the game; end of story.  There was no bad call, just a bunch of crying Bama fans that cannot accept the truth.  As of late, LSU pretty much owns Bama.  Even the great Saban has a losing record against LSU.  Suck on that for a while.

Can easily see where the stump- jumping, Hillbilly folks jump into this convo at. The tide was washed away once this year by the TIGERS. Will make it twice in a season the Tigers will roll all over the tide......... LSU Champs once again.
