PODCAST: 12/31 Bowl Previews w/Dennis Dodd

Well, I stand corrected.  Auburn had plenty of offense tonight.  I would not have expected 43 points for sure.  If this is the team of next year for Auburn, this Florida fan is extremely glad that there will not be a rematch with Auburn.  Texas A&M who is losing several key offensive weapons may be easier to beat than Auburn.  May not be, but after that performance, I will take my chances with A&M.

SEC fan here, and I would not doubt UVA out either.  Auburn's offense is downright aneomic.  IF the AU defense does not hold UVA to less than 17 points, I can see AU having real trouble against anybody.  UVA almost earned the right to play for the ACC title so, I think that the Cavaliers have as good a chance as the Tigers in this game.  I hope I am wrong and the Tigers can plow through UVA, but I think Buford may very well be right (and I would not call it an upset).

I know some of you have your doubts about Virginia beating Auburn and an SEC team, but UVA has some good athletes and I would not count them out as a loser in this game.  Mike London, the second year UVA coach, is building a good competitive program. His recruiting of quality players is also continuing at a good pace.  He has his team believing they can win every game, and that's certainly refreshing after the Al Groh era. I definitely would not be surprised seeing the Wahoos win the Chick-Fil-A bowl in Atlanta on New Years Eve.
