Daxx Garman transferring to Oklahoma State

Arizona quarterback Daxx Garman asked out of his scholarship in November, and he's already found a new school. The freshman is going home, as he'll be transferring to Oklahoma State. As per the rules, Garman will have to sit out the 2012 season but will be eligible to play for Oklahoma State in 2013 as a sophomore.

"I'm getting the opportunity to move closer to home," Garman told The Arizona Republic. "My family can be more involved in the situation, and I felt like it's a better opportunity for me. Oklahoma State, they have a great football environment. The fans are great people there, and they support the Oklahoma State football program completely. I'm very excited to be a part of that."

Garman did not play for Arizona as a true freshman this season, taking a redshirt instead.

This won't be the first time Garman has had to sit on the sidelines due to a transfer, as he faced similar problems while still in high school. Garman and his father moved to Texas from Oklahoma before his senior season of high school so that he could play football at Southlake Carroll. However, Garman was ruled ineligible to play his senior season at the high school since it was deemed he had only moved to Texas to play football at Southlake Carroll, which is against the rules in the state of Texas.

Now he'll be forced to sit out a season for moving back home to Oklahoma.

Cole Chapman transferring to Oklahoma State

credible anonymous source say that two sport muskogee superstar will be transferring to oklahoma state starting the fall of 2012.

his senior season he average an astonishing .7 tackles per game and and career high of 1.7 points per game.

he is best known for catching a pass from Bradley. who signed a multi million dollar deal and turned down the chance to play for the gooners.

and also for being dirty, flakey and phoney.

Daxx Garman transferring to Oklahoma State

Well boobthe fan, if you wish to know jack about the situation, check the Dallas News files on the subject. Then you MIGHT have a clue about the history for Garman.
I did not get to watch him play in this area because he was NOT allowed to have status in Texas while most of his family STAYED in Ok.  When a player tries to drop into a state powerhouse, it can (and did) make big news. The whole "situation" was daily new here for the local media. So yes, I do know the background. But that is not why I feel the way I do about the current "situation".

Sure, it is POSSIBLE he might have been told to get lost by Rich Rod but that is not what he SAID first.

Probably, maybe, could, might, woulda, shoulda is all you have, but Daxx said

My family can be more involved in the situation,
When that is the lead of why HE SAID he want to transfer, who am I (or you) to make woulda and coulda and might and maybe.

What Daxx SAID is more telling than what you may guess could be a possible reason. And yes, in North Texas we have seen his "situation" before.

Sigma, and the other trolls criticizing the kid w/o knowing jack about his situation...AZ has been running a different offense than Rich Rod will bring, which will no doubt feature a dual threat QB.  Maybe Garman is NOT a good DT qb, which means RR might have told him to transfer or lose his scholly.  That's the most likely scenario, the kid probably had no choice...and since he isn't eligible until 2013, he'd "sit behind" whoever plays qb in 2012 anyway.   The question then will be whether he can beat out Walsh, Chelf, and Lunt for playing time.   We will have to wait and see on that.

That will be 3 full seasons without hitting the field. His "family being involved" is the reason he missed his last year of high school ball. And he will be behind whoever starts for OSU next year(2012).

Nick Foles is a senior and will not be back. That means Garman is not willing to stay and try to win the starting job. Or he can clearly see he is not going to win the job or will not wait his turn. Is this more of the father trying to run this kid's career. Or is Daxx set on trying to take the easy way to the top again. This is too much like the Mitch Mustain deal of running away from the tough road. But at least Mustain did prove himself on the field, first.

Sometime in sports and life, you have to make a stand and compete for what you want. You only get so many chances, at least with the NCAA.
