Teen accuses Sandusky of 2004 on-campus assault

Additional allegations of sexual assault have been made against former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. The most recent reported incidents occurring inside the Penn State football offices in 2004 - two years after Sandusky was banned from bringing children into the building.

FoxNews.com spoke the attorney of the now-19-year old accuser, who was a 12-year old summer camper in a program run by Second Mile - Sandusky's charity aid underprivileged youth - at the time of the incident. The accuser has reportedly filed a civil suit against Sandusky, Second Mile, and Penn State.
The teen’s lawyer, Charles Schmidt, told FoxNews.com in an interview on Thursday that Sandusky lured the boy into an office seven years ago, plied him with alcohol and raped him. He said Sandusky then gave the boy Penn State football championship memorabilia, walked him outside and handed him off to a Second Mile counselor.

Schmidt said Sandusky gave the boy a football championship commemorative bottle and a hockey puck, and that both items have recently been turned over to police.

The office where the alleged rape occurred is thought to have been Sandusky’s office in Penn State’s Lasch football building, Schmidt said. He said he thought that Second Mile’s programs were run out of that building.
FoxNews.com reports that the Attorney General's office is investigating the allegations, though there was no official comment from the spokesperson. That statute of limitations for criminal charges in cases like this is 12 years after the accuser's 18th birthday.

Former Penn State athletic director Tim Curley told a grand jury that he banned Sandusky from bringing Second Mile children into the football building in 2002, after Mike McQueary said he saw the former defensive coordinator raping a boy in the showers. Joe Amendola, Sandusky's attorney, claims his client was not banned from using Penn State facilities until November 2011 - after the criminal charges were filed.

While more continues to unravel regarding this sad case in State College, interim head coach Tom Bradley is preparing his team for the TicketCity Bowl on Jan. 2. The Nittany Lions are also searching for a full-time replacement for Joe Paterno.

Teen accuses Sandusky of 2004 on-campus assault

Well Rugger, I hate to tell you this:  I would have reacted more than I would have thought about what I should do.  People will react differently to different situations.  MCQ thought about what his next step would be, then hesitated and avoided the confrontation with Sandusky, went home and asked for advice from his dad, and then the following day spoke with Paterno?!  I believe that I know myself well enough:  I would have reacted in defense of the child's behalf (or on the behalf of ANYONE who needed help when I could offer it) and then dealt with the result of my actions, whether they would be deemed right or wrong.

The sickest thing of it all, besides raping childern, is that if McQueary actually witnessed Sandusky molesting a young boy, why on earth did he not jump into action, rescue the boy and bum rush old man Sandusky right then and there? I would have stormed the area & called police immediately and I would have been in Sandusky's face everyday from that day forward until the sick SOB was locked up. The years of silence is disturbing on all aspects.
It look to me that McQueary tried to make it someone else problem, instead of calling the Police after he witness a crime and stop the crime. All he did was wait for an few hours to call Paterno to drop the problem in his lap, there sould be no good reason to call Paterno if he just deal with Sandusky when the crime happen.

Someone sent me this to think about...
So Sandusky calls for a quickie (the direct opposite of his normal MO), somehow manages to get a 12 yr old drunk on whiskey (which somehow the kid knew exactly what whiskey was) in a short enough amount of time to not only rape the kid but get him calmed down to the point he wasn't an emotional wreck when the kid again was "released" to a Second Mile rep? And so the kid wasnt too drunk for anyone else to know?

Funny that the kid has no interest in pressing charges, just wants to sue civilly.

shut up dude.  you and all the other so-called vigilantes act like you know exactly what you would have done in that situation.  YOU would not have done what you said.  If you didn't know the person, then yeah it's a bit easier to stop them or prevent it as soon as you saw it.  HOWEVER, in this case, it was a person that he knew.  I'm sure the shock and awe (sorry, not trying to borrow this line) would paralyze you both physically and mentally had you saw an acquaintance of yours for the past 5-6 years doing something so disgusting and vile as to what MCQ witnessed.  We never know just how our brains will react in a situation like that.  I'm in no way condoning that what he did was right or morally correct and he should be fired but when people like you state how they would have reacted, that's all in hindsight...

How much I agree with you on this remark!  If anything, my actions towards Sandusky, had I witnessed such an act against a child, would have resulted in either an assault or murder case!  People like McQueary are given an instanst to do what their heart says is best for that child, unfortunately he was more concerned about doing the "right" thing the next day than doing the best thing - act immediately and deal with the end result, which, in this case, would have been a protected child. And another.  And another.

Firtsandlong you are right on.  Mcqueary is as quilty as anyone involved.  He could have put an end to the hole situation right then and there.  He is either a liar or a coward.  He is by no means a hero in this.

This pig should be shot.  I blame anyone who knew and didn't do anything about it (Except the victims).

I feel for Penn State fans,it's not their fault that their beloved coach covered up the truth in children being raped and that Sandusky is a sick freak...but I know myself i would be ashamed of my school and it would be hard to remain a fan of this institution....This whole ordeal is sad, sick and inexcusable inso many ways.
