Teen accuses Sandusky of 2004 on-campus assault

Additional allegations of sexual assault have been made against former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky. The most recent reported incidents occurring inside the Penn State football offices in 2004 - two years after Sandusky was banned from bringing children into the building.

FoxNews.com spoke the attorney of the now-19-year old accuser, who was a 12-year old summer camper in a program run by Second Mile - Sandusky's charity aid underprivileged youth - at the time of the incident. The accuser has reportedly filed a civil suit against Sandusky, Second Mile, and Penn State.
The teen’s lawyer, Charles Schmidt, told FoxNews.com in an interview on Thursday that Sandusky lured the boy into an office seven years ago, plied him with alcohol and raped him. He said Sandusky then gave the boy Penn State football championship memorabilia, walked him outside and handed him off to a Second Mile counselor.

Schmidt said Sandusky gave the boy a football championship commemorative bottle and a hockey puck, and that both items have recently been turned over to police.

The office where the alleged rape occurred is thought to have been Sandusky’s office in Penn State’s Lasch football building, Schmidt said. He said he thought that Second Mile’s programs were run out of that building.
FoxNews.com reports that the Attorney General's office is investigating the allegations, though there was no official comment from the spokesperson. That statute of limitations for criminal charges in cases like this is 12 years after the accuser's 18th birthday.

Former Penn State athletic director Tim Curley told a grand jury that he banned Sandusky from bringing Second Mile children into the football building in 2002, after Mike McQueary said he saw the former defensive coordinator raping a boy in the showers. Joe Amendola, Sandusky's attorney, claims his client was not banned from using Penn State facilities until November 2011 - after the criminal charges were filed.

While more continues to unravel regarding this sad case in State College, interim head coach Tom Bradley is preparing his team for the TicketCity Bowl on Jan. 2. The Nittany Lions are also searching for a full-time replacement for Joe Paterno.

Teen accuses Sandusky of 2004 on-campus assault

Unforeseen- For the last time.. 1) you keep adding the phrase "but not criminal" to the statement of Joe Paterno. Paterno NEVER referred to the behavior in such a way in either his sworn testimony or his press statement(s). The phrase he used was "inappropriate" and that he was not given "all the details". He also states the witness was "distraught" with what he saw. Paterno was disturbed enough by this to report it to his boss. And while I believe Joe's actions fall well below what he should have done....he at least did something and then didn't try to cover it up from the Grand Jury. He paid the price of his job for his inaction but was found credible by the Grand Jury and is not a target of the investigation. 2) it clearly was not "obvious" to the Grand Jury or the state of Pennsylvania that McQueary didn't witness a rape. They found his testimony credible and indicted your believed Curley for perjury. That is what we call a fact. 3) Sandusky disputes that he was banned from bringing children tothe PSU offices by Curley until 2011. It's interesting that you accept the view of one indicted liar (Curley) but do not accept that of another indicted individual (Sandusky). Highlighting that you have some relationship with Curley. 4) Curley and Paterno's testimony contradict each other. Paterno says he reported inappropriate behavior (McQueary says the same...). Curley says he was not told of inappropriate behavior. His testimony is also in contradiction to Schultz's at the same meeting). THAT is why they have been indicted. You attempt to change the testimony by your addition of "but not criminal" to try to square Curley's view with Paterno's. But that statement is YOURS not Paterno's. In fact, as pointed out above you can't even come up with a behavior in the shower that would fit the inappropriate but not criminal view but still leave McQueary distraught (according to Paterno) and would still be enough that Joe felt he needed to report it to his higher ups. In the end you are a Curkey apologist, relative, lover or the man himself. You report incredible testimony as fact, add your own point of views to try to change the situation. You have been so owned in these discussions you resort to name calling and have refused to answer simple questions. Again.... You wish it wasn't rape. You wish it wasn't caught. You wish Joe had just said "but not criminal". You wish the team wasn't tarred with this. You wish the myth was the same as the reality. I wish children had been protected. I wish rapists had been stop. I wish grown man had done their duty. And with that I am done with you. As your beloved Curley is done too You fail to answer the questions of how inappropriate behavior between an adult and a child in a shower that left the witness distraught ( this is the testimony of McQueary and Paterno) could also not be criminal. It HAS to be criminal. Which is why Joe reported it to his boss. Why McQueary didn't stop it is a question he will need to answer for the rest of his life and in the hereafter. Why Paterno didn't force McQueary to report it or report it to the police himself will follow him and haunt his legacy forever. Why Curley chose to ignore it, not follow up on it and then lied about it ( as his indictment states) will be answered to legally, ethically, civically, and morally.

Thanks for admitting I am right and accepting that you are wrong because that is what you just did by pulling out the moral straw man when presented with the fact, which again, demonstrate that Joe Paterno did nothing wrong and everything right and very likely Penn State as well. Smile

Yes Unforseen, it does hurt.  It hurts the children.  It stinks that your precious do-no-wrong ped state administration - people who are supposed to be leaders - found a way to not have this investigated properly.  But according to you, no one did anything wrong - criminally or morally.  What a great example you must be to those around you.

It happened at a football camp, with a former football coach, in a football building...

They more reporters working on this story, the better.  The public needs to know everything that went on at PSU, that way we can try to prevent it in the future.

Nice summation Kingsquonk, but don't bother pointing out the facts to Unforseen - he's deep in denial, an apologist jackass - who will never responsibly respond to your type of questions because it just doesn't fit his explanation excuse that he's crafted for Paterno.  Anyone that doesn't buy into his drivel is a hater, or sheep as he puts it.  But you'll never get him to answer the questions you post - just too deep in denial.  I wouldn't be surprised if he started blaming the children too once they start the civil suits.

The obvious answer is that McQueary didn't see a rape being committed, which coincidently, is what he told at least two of the first three people he talked to regarding the incident and almostly certainly all three as his father and Dr. Dranov were in the room when he talked to them. If you are keeping count, Dranov, Paterno, Curley and Schultz say they were told they saw innappropriate but not criminal activities. Again, Dr. Dranov's known testimony make it extremely likely that McQueary's father, once he testifies, will tell the same story. Then there is the inconsistencies in McQueary's sworn testimony. In the Grand Jury testimony is says he is certain. In the recent testimony he only thinks he saw something. Other than McQueary's father's account, everything I just posted is an established fact. It is an established fact that McQueary told Dranov in the presense of his father and that Schultz interviewed McQueary's father and Schultz. It is likely the 2002 incident isn't as presented

And once again i`ll ask...

Does ANYone know if anybody has asked the most important question of all yet ? WHY would a grown man,McQueary, keep on walking by when he`s watching an old man rape a young boy.McQueary was quite capable of physically intevening and stopping the child rape that was in progress.Does ANYone know if McQueary`s on the record anywhere having been asked that single question ?Yes,yes,i know what he did,he went to his superiors, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah. But does ANYone know for a fact if McQueary himself has spoken the words to the question..."why didn`t you intervene in a child rape"? Facts, not specualtion or opinions. We all know what a scum bag anyone is that let`s a child continue to be raped, but FACTS,has he been asked WHY he responded to child rape the way he did ? I`d be in jail for manslaughter for smashing Sandusky`s head against the shower wall `till he was dead.Did ANYone ask McQueary why he didn`t so much as pull Sandusky off the victim ? That question DESPERATELY needs to be asked of McQueary if it hasn`t been asked and answered yet.
