Ohio State doesn't list Michigan on its schedule

Were you aware that Ohio State and Michigan had a rivalry? It's true, they do.

The two schools actually aren't very big fans of each other, even though they play in the same conference and are practically neighbors. They've both tried to fix things, even resorting to neighbor's counseling at times, but it seems that no matter what the two schools try, just nothing works.

The relationship has gotten so bad as of late that the two schools won't even refer to the other by name. Heck, Ohio State won't even list Michigan on its schedule anymore.

What a shame. I thought those two kids were going to make it.

Ohio State doesn't list Michigan on its schedule

I was hoping there would be more college football historians on this board.

"That Team Up North" is a quote made famous by the late, great Woody Hayes. Including that quote on the schedule is more to pay homage to the unparalleled rivalry with Michigan than to degrade our northern rival.

Congrats to Big Blue on their win last year. Welcome back to the rivalry, it was getting boring up here without you ...

that is truly silly...Looking at this years schedule. There is not a single team that will even sniff the top 40 in Ohio States non conference schedule. In addition, since OSU plays in the Big 10 there are several built in bye weeks with complete cream puffs every year.

Congrats to them on not playing a 1-AA team this year (sincerly) but they do play them in other years. In addition, UAB and Miami (OH) are not that much better than 1-AA ....so dont get to cocky.

But I do think any team not playing a 1-AA team does deserve props for that.

Using one year is how we judge things?  I like to use trends.  Also Cal is not patsy.  They may not be the top5 teams that tOSU has done home/home in the past but is still a good team.

As far as the 1-AA I cannot remember the last time tOSU played a 1-AA.  I just tried to google that and cannot find when the Buckeyes last played a FCS.

Typical ohio.  They have a MICHIGAN inferiority complex and it brings out the childishness in them.  Typical ohio.   Go Blue !!!

Hoke refers to them simply as "Ohio", not "That team from...". He got it from Bo. It's tradition. Oh hang on, I'll wait while you look that word up, God knows you've never had it in East Lansing.

No team with the exception of a few out west can compare their OOC schedule with tOSU.

I suspect this schedule was done with tounge in cheek.  Sure we love to beat "Meatchicken", but its all in fun for most of us OSU fans (and I suspect for most  UM fans as well).

This is classic Urban Meyer. When at Utah he referred to BYU as that school down South. Same OLD shtick.
