Former Miami Hurricane Glenn Sharpe has been arrested on murder charges in Georgia, according to a local report.

CBS Miami is reporting that Sharpe, 28, is accused of killing Christopher Galloway on Feb. 2 at his home near Stone Mountain, Ga.. Members of the DeKalb County Sheriff's office arrested Sharpe on Thursday at his Lawrenceville home without incident.

Sharpe was named the Brian Piccolo Award winner by the ACC in 2006 after overcoming two serious injuries to make his way back to the field, but is best known for his play in the 2003 BCS National Championship Game. Sharpe was involved in the controversial pass interference call in overtime that gave Ohio State the opportunity to defeat Miami 31-24 in the second overtime.

YOU PATHETIC BUCKEYES ! You pitiful excuse for football fans, take a sorrowful story in college football and somehow "SPIN IT" so it becomes about you and YOUR FAILURE TO SUCEED on the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD AGAIN ! ( what was that like 15 - 16 yrs ago?)

oh yeah we're the pathetic football team. The NCAA/BCS practically tried to giftwrap you a championship this year and you were a no show. Hey at least we've never been shutout in our home state in this day and age. Wow bro, 21-0 whats that score mean to you?

Yea why don't you tattoo that on your ass along with the referees name that gifted you a national championship. Better yet, why don't you put it on your lower back as a "tramp stamp"!

someones mad. maybe it's because his city wont get a championship in anything for awhile. at least one that counts and doesn't have a * beside it. get over it bro. If you still say it wasn't pass interference you are completely oblivious and know nothing about football. Now run along....

First let me preface this by saying that I am a Bama fan and really don't care for tOSU or Miami.  However, I was rooting for tOSU in that game because I wanted to see a team knock Miami off.  However, that was not pass interference.  The officials blew it.

Here we are 10 years after the game and there are some people that are still bitter. It was a great game I was there front row. Michigan fans need to just shut up period. You barely beat a below 500 osu team this year. Don't get used to it. It was a paa interference look at the picture. Sharpe is hanging on him while the ball was in the air. And besides Miami had it on 1st and goal on the 5 and couldn't score. I think both teams had more NFL players on that field than any other championship game.

Ohio State fans are quite possibly the most ignorant of professional and collegiate football programs. If the roles were reversed and that happened to them?! Well first off there would be riots in Columbus, followed by the whiniest version of "we got screwed!!" that would still be brought up everyday, on every message board until the end of time. Furthermore, they probably would've made their own version of a national championship trophy commerating that 2002 season. Ohio State grow up and face two facts about your program. You'll always be #2 in the Big Ten, with #1 going to Michigan (who still owns you despite OSU's recent success). Second, NO TEAM should ever be so pridefully high on itself when they're a pathetic 1-10 (all-time) versus another conference. They're an SEC doormat, and if Buckeye nation had a slogan it should be, "THE Ohio State Buckeyes, our bark always trumps our bite."
