Former Miami Hurricane Glenn Sharpe has been arrested on murder charges in Georgia, according to a local report.

CBS Miami is reporting that Sharpe, 28, is accused of killing Christopher Galloway on Feb. 2 at his home near Stone Mountain, Ga.. Members of the DeKalb County Sheriff's office arrested Sharpe on Thursday at his Lawrenceville home without incident.

Sharpe was named the Brian Piccolo Award winner by the ACC in 2006 after overcoming two serious injuries to make his way back to the field, but is best known for his play in the 2003 BCS National Championship Game. Sharpe was involved in the controversial pass interference call in overtime that gave Ohio State the opportunity to defeat Miami 31-24 in the second overtime.

You are a fool if you believe that didn't deserve a flag.

Quite a coincidence that ONLY Ohio State fans feel that way. If that's inteference, every pass play would warrant a flag.

The players should decide the title--not the officials.

You are a fool if you believe that didn't deserve a flag. You can probably go find pictures rather easily if you want to know the truth... but you probably don't.

Yea why don't you tattoo that on your ass along with the referees name that gifted you a national championship. Better yet, why don't you put it on your lower back as a "tramp stamp"!

That Miami/tOSU game was eerily similar to the Miami/PSU in the 1986 national title game.  Miami came in as heavy favorites both times in Tempe and they were playing de facto road games both times since the Miami fanbase does not travel well.  It is just interesting how history and Miami's hubris repeated itself 16 years later.

That wasn't pass interference.  The receiver didn't even have his head turned.  Did he get there a split-second early?  Maybe.  But the ball was poorly thrown, the receiver couldn't find it in time, and he wasn't going to catch it.  Go look it up on YouTube.  Might be pass interference but the receiver wasn't looking and the catch was damn near impossible.  Shouldn't have been called.  Especially since it helped decide the game.

Good call Nitro!

I've been saying this since the day after the game!! Most people point to the PI call in OT that decided this game but like you said, in reality, had the ref made the "right" call on that out pattern with 2:00 left, tOSU gets an automatic first down and runs out the clock. No need for OT!!! Either way, The Bucks win and Cryami loses!!! O-H bitches!!!
