Who had the better Super Bowl run?

All we hear is how great this or that quarterback is. Every time Ben gets in the conversation it always ends up the same. He is credited for having Steelers defense. They always bring up Super Bowl XL game as well which is fine. He didn't play great of course I can admit, but to say he deserves no credit at all for that Super Bowl run is idiotic in my opinion. That Super Bowl game overshadows how great the guy played in 3 of the games on the road to get to that Super Bowl.

I got the idea about the topic from all the haters keep bringing the Super Bowl up along with some Manning thread about how many rings he should have if he had this or that. I showed my respect to Peyton in my reply. I saw others reply talking about interceptions in big games. I looked at his playoff stats the year the Colts won the Super Bowl. I wasn't that impressed. Which is why I ask the question: Who had the better Super Bowl run? I will post the stats for you. I used pro football reference site by the way. Here you go...

Peyton Manning's Super Bowl run:
78.9 comp%/1 TD/3 int/pass per attempt 7.05/passer rating 71.9/Colts win vs KC 23-8
50.0 comp%/0 TD/2 int/pass per attempt 5.67/passer rating 39.6/Colts win @ Bal 15-6
57.4 comp%/1 TD/1 int/pass per attempt 7.43/passer rating 79.1/1 rush TD/Colts win vs NE 38-34
65.8 comp%/1 TD/1 int/pass per attempt 6.50/passer rating 81.8/Colts win vs Chi 29-17

Ben Roethlisberger's Super Bowl run:
73.7 comp%/3 TD/0 int/pass per attempt 10.9/passer rating 148.7/Steelers win @ Cincy 31-17
58.3 comp%/2 TD/1 int/pass per attempt 8.2/passer rating 95.3/Steelers win @ Indy 21-18
72.4 comp%/2 TD/0 int/pass per attempt 9.5/passer rating 124.9/Steelers win @ Den 34-17
42.9 comp%/0 TD/2 int/pass per attempt 5.9/passer rating 22.6/1 rush TD/Steelers win vs Sea 21-10

Tom Brady's Super Bowl run
61.5 comp%/0 TD/1 int/pass per attempt 6.0/passer rating 70.4/1 rush TD/Patriots win vs Oak 16-13
66.7 comp%/0 TD/0 int/pass per attempt 6.4/passer rating 84.3/Patriots win @ Pit 18-12
59.3 comp%/1 TD/0 int/pass per attempt 5.4/passer rating 86.2/Patriots win vs STL 20-17

I think it is without question....Ben Roethlisberger had the better numbers. I suppose I can let the rest of you to decide especially you critics who will find some how to make Peyton's better, but you can't. Ben Roethlisberger's Super Bowl run was far superior than Peyton's and Tom's. You can go by stats, the fact he was on the road, ect. Enjoy....

Who had the better Super Bowl run?

Last night I watched the 2005 AFC Championship game Pats 41 Steelers 24 on the NFL network
I would have took it more personal if you actually got the final score correct. LOL! IDIOT!!

What was cool was seeing all the Steeler fans making for the exits with 8 minutes to go and the patriots up 41 to 17.
You know what I thought was cool? Listening to Patriot fans boo the hell out of Tom Brady after getting blown out by the Ravens in 2009. LOL! It was hilarious. I mean what is the Pats win/loss streak in the playoffs since their perfect season didn't end perfect?

3 Superbowls in 4 years
Sucks that they had to use cameras to get there? Havn't won a thing since.

That will warm my heart for the rest of my life
Everyone knows they won't win another one so they had better.

Thank you Tom and Mr Kraft
For cheating?

Can you say Dynasty??  That was an excellent run.
I suppose you can say that. I mean the evidence was burnt to a crisp before anybody could take a look at it.

Who had the better Super Bowl run?

Unlike the QBs I mention, Ben Roethlisberger only had a Super Bowl run due to the play of his defense and running game
What are you talking about bro? Check out Brady's numbers from his first Super Bowl run. The guy only had 1 TD in 3 games for goodness sakes. His team didn't win by more than 6 points in any of those games. Why hasn't Brady won a thing since he no longer has a good defense and running game?

Wanna talk about Manning's defense? How about his team defense gave up less than 10 points in 2 games.

Wanna talk about Rodgers defense that you claim he doesn't have? His defense bailed him out in the Philly game. Yes I said bailed him out!! Vick on his final drive almost scored a TD to win the game. It didn't happen. Defense didn't allow that to happen. That is called being bailed out when defense has to save the game for you. Wanna talk about more of Green Bay's D? Green Bay's D caused three turnovers that later turned into points. Where the hell was Steelers D against Rodgers? No turnovers or sacks. Ok maybe one sack....Green Bay's D also had to save Rodgers in the NFC Championship game. Chicago Bears were inside GB 30 with about a minute left.

Wanna talk Green Bay running game? Yea....running game had over 100 yards in Philly game as well.

Dilfer had no defense or running game? Are you kidding me? He played so great during his run he wasn't resigned.

Are you not the idiot who claims quarterbacks don't win games? I mean that is how you defend Rivers right? Well if that is so how can you diminish Ben's accomplishments? He isn't the only player on the field. Defense plays a huge part in winning and losing of course, but to say he deserves 0 credit for his Super Bowl victories is idiotic. Look at the stat sheet you love to throw in everyone face. I'm not saying Ben did it on his own nor am I saying he had no help. Football is a team sport obviously. Steelers wouldn't have been to Super Bowl XL without Roethlisberger.

Who had the better Super Bowl run?

narky, I would care about your comments, but I don't respect a person who reads my blog and makes a 2nd account. I think they call people like you cowards.

What does Rodgers have to do with anything. The discussion has nothing at all to do with him. It has to do with the bs of people saying Ben had nothing to do with the Steelers Super Bowl run the first time around. His stats prove otherwise. I compared them to Mannings and he receives more praise even though the guy didn't have a better playoff run than Ben's according to stats.

Who had the better Super Bowl run?

Are you kidding me irregardless?

Brady's 1st super bowl run was horrible. 2 of his rings are thanks to final second kicks that won the game. Did you see Manning's numbers compared to Ben's in my post? Did you not read any of it?

Dilfer? If Dilfer had a better one than Ben's than he must have had a better one than Manning and Tom as well.

Who had the better Super Bowl run?

Aaron Rodgers's Super Bowl run:
66.6 comp%/3TD/0 int/pass per attempt 6.67/passer rating 122.5/Pack win @ PHI 21-16
86.1 comp%/3TD/0 int/pass per attempt 10.16/passer rating 136.8/Pack win @ ATL 48-21
56.6 comp%/0TD/2 int/pass per attempt 8.13/passer rating 55.4/1 rushing TD/Pack win @ CHI 21-14
61.5 comp %/3TD/0 int/pass per attempt 7.79/passer rating 111.5/Pack win vs. PIT 31-25
... all on the road, not to mention the 2 games Rodgers had to win on the road to get to the playoffs.

Game, set, match.  Winner: Rodgers

Who had the better Super Bowl run?

Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Dilfer, Favre, Elway, Montana, Johnson, Young, Simms, Bradshaw...a couple of others...
What exactly do you mean by this?

Are you unfamiliar with how asking a question, and answering a question works?
I'll give you a hint, see the bold words above^^^ that was a question you asked.

What I wrote, and you didn't understand is called answering the question you asked.
Unlike the QBs I mention, Ben Roethlisberger only had a Super Bowl run due to the play of his defense and running game. His part in that "run" was minimal compared to even Trent Dilfer.

You ask question...

Other people answer...

Get it?
