Dreaming of Saturday

I have been waiting for the Hogs to break out and this weekend could be the game we do. So much is on the line here. Bama is so tough but I am confident in the Hogs. Should be a great game. Boy I wish I was back home to see this one live.

Dreaming of Saturday

Mallett obviously knew what he was doing when he went to Arkansas - he has a ton of talent around him (it still amazes me RR is so stuck in his O he couldn't use a player like Mallett).

Lets face it - this is probably for the SEC title.  Any 1 loss after this by either team would be an upset, it will progably take 2 losses by the winner  for the loser of this game to get to the conference title game.  For the loser to make the SEC title game would be a stretch to say the least.

Good luck to your Hogs.

Dreaming of Saturday - Arkansas' Moment?

If your Football Heaven Blog was a "group", I'd join it!
I've been waiting a long time for a game like this;  and I feel your sentiments as well.  The closer this potential gridiron classic gets, the greater the urge to hop on a plane for NWI, and if nothing else, just hang around a game-day atmosphere that will be SIZZLING!

Let me say right off that, while the Tide is indeed a storied football-only program, what makes this most special, is the timing of our contest with a defending national champion - which happens to be Bama - combined with the fact of it being a clash between two Top 10 teams early in the season.

However, since it IS Bama, and since Bama will be our primary SEC West challenger during Saban's tenure, defeating them is an imperative.  You can bet both opposing coaches have had this date circled for months, as the contest to build this season's game-plan around.  In the challenger's roll, Petrino's Razorbacks have been knowingly preparing for what they hope will be Arkansas' coming-out party on September 25.  The Tide fully understands this game as THE one most apt to derail an excellent opportunity to repeat;  AND they haven't forgotten their worst beatdown ever ~ at the hands of the Hogs (14-49) two years ago.  Revenge on Arkansas' own turf will motivate them.  We will see their A-game on Saturday.
