LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

If they had a USC - Oregon title game the entire SEC region of the country would be rioting.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

What a pile of crap - have no interest in watching this game where LSU is going to beat Alabama again.   Bama couldn't win at home, they're not going to win in New Orleans.

Sorry LSU.   You're own conference disrespects you so much that they are making you replay the game because you name isn't "Alabama".

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

LSU beat the best team in the pac 10 to open the season.  Alabama the second best sec team beat the 5th best team in the big 10 27-11.  Wisconsin beat that same team 45-7.  The third best team Arkansas beat the sixth best team in the big 12 by 3 points and the 4th best team Georgia lost in Atlanta to Boise State by 14 points.  LSU proved they should be in the final game nobdy else in the sec beat anybody of any significance.  One could even argue that USC was better then Oregon.  The fact that two teams from the same conference are aloud to play for the national championship is a joke and sec fans were the ones crying the loudest when Ohio state and Michigan tried to pull that same bs several years back.  Then again sec fans wanted a rematch the year Florida beat Oklahoma by 10 and Utah beat Alabama by 14.  If another conference had two teams playing for the national championship sec fans would be complaining about how unfair its was.

The team who wins the game is champion. This game is the championship game; the last one wasn't. It isn't rocket science.

Bottom Line: Okie St you're mad at the SEC and the BCS because you couldn't beat Iowa St. That is all you had to do, and it proved to be too big a task.
