LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

Voters actually wanted OSU vs LSU, but they had to overcome too big a defecit in order for it to happen.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Like I said, for the dozen of you who say you aren't going to watch, your master plan isn't going to work. LSU vs. Bama was one of the most watched games in ages. I don't think people would have kept it tuned to the game if they weren't interested. You may have fallen asleep like an old fogey, but those of us that know real football, not that 100-yard arena league in the plains, know it was a real football game. There have been poorly rated BCS games in the past and there have not been any major changes.

I can't believe a team that didnt even place in first or second in there own conference has a chance to win the national championship.  By doing this you are screwing LSU who (1) went undefeated, (2) beat Alabama in there own house in an overtime game where Bama couldnt even score 3, and (3) played in and won the conference championship while Bama had the week off. This rematch screws the system and schedule that is college football. LSU would have been better of letting BAMA win. At least that way you dont have to take any chances the rest of the season... Should be OSU.

Win the games you're supposed to win and you don't give the BCS a chance to be corrupt. The people in the South listen to your Redneck and Hillbilly jokes year round...Football season is when we laugh at you.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

The college football season ends for me when the FCS championship is played. I am not going to waste my time watching this over-hyped stuff. I won't be watching.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

canes 5 rings, lets see LSU 41 Miami 3  LSU 37 GT 3  LSU 47 West Va 21  LSU 40 Oregon 27  LSU 42 Georgia 10  LSU blows out Texas A&M in last years Cotton Bowl, blows out Va Tech in '07 by 5 TD's a team that FINISHED the season ranked # 3.  The problem with some of you is LSU plays all phases of the game, this pass happy world may work for some of you but for the Tigers every player on the field is just as important as the next.  LSU tried to pass the ball on Bama and couldn't, realized it and played the 2nd half in a manner that gave the team its best chance to win.  Bama has several NFL players on that D and Landry Jones or Weeden can get some of it if they want.

With what evidence do you have that Bama should be in the NC game? Don't compare them to Ok State. Just state why Bama does deserve this shot. They only played 3 winning teams all year!!!! Lost their conference!!!! Only reason why is because their in the SEC.
