LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

T Boone Pickens is going to spend the rest of his fortune to destroy the BCS.

COllege football is officially a joke now.. This goes completely against their logic in 2006... Down with the BCS...

Might as well just confirm it as a fact that OSU got left out.  (the OU win didn't move them up in the polls).
The OU win did move them up in the polls. Too many people just never realized OSU was FIFTH coming into this week. Voters didn't think they were that great and having Bama at #2, it would have been a joke if they suddenly went and put OSU at #2. #4 sure, because VaTech lost. #3, ok, though Stanford losing to Oregon is nowhere near as bad as the Whirlwinds.

Don't blame Bama or the BCS. Blame Iowa State and Oklahoma State. They blew it. All they had to do was win.

BAMAFAN WRITES:
Well in that train of thought the playoffs prove nothing! If a team loses to someone in regular season, then lose in playoffs they proved nothing!

Obviously you do not like MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL or NCAA BASKETBALL playoffs. Don't post anymore. It's not sounding too bright.

BCS is a joke. I remember a few years back, Saban was at a 'different school' and was pissed OU got in. "Anyone who doesn't win their conference doesn't deserve to be in the national championship." Much less their division within their conferencwe. I, for one, won't be watching.

And Oklahoma State is 7-1 against unranked teams. If any other team besides LSU was in Bama's division they would have won their division.

All those bringing up the fact that OSU played ISU with heavy hearts have a very valid point. I totally sympathize, but should Alabama be penalized for that tragedy as well?  OSU had considered postponing the game vs. ISU.  That would have been the prudent thing to do in hindsight.

As a Badger fan, I'm just happy that my favorite team has just as many NCAA football championships as the entire SEC combined.
