LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Big 12 fans seem to forget that Oklahoma played LSU in the 2003 BCS without winning the Big 12 and Nebraska was in the 2001 BCS and did not even win the Northern Division.

Didn't you say that Oklahoma would be #1 in the initial BCS standings? Who is this source. Me thinks you're pulling feces out of your anus.

Bulldogs, you make no sense. You claim the first game was a yawner, when 9-6 is quite competitive, but you would rather see LSU vs. OSU, in which LSU would probably kill the no-defense Pokes and would not be competitive at all. Make up your mind.

Yawn, well this makes for a boring BCS game.  Field goal, repeat, field goal, repeat, field goal, repeat. Same teams, repeat, yawn.

Nobody wants too see this game again! It was a horrible game the first time around..a snoozefest.

Bama had their shot and lost!!   Give OSU a shot at the title.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

I Think Bama probably is the second best team. But the fact is they lost to LSU already, and did not win there division, did not play for there conference championsip. OK st. Is in my mind the # 3 team, but in this scenario, they should be the ones playing LSU. It also makes LSU beating bama already useless, which is not fair to LSU.If your not gonna have a playoff, thats one thing, but a team should not have to playa team twice, when there are other teams just as desrving, with the same record..Oh well..

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

If this is indeed accurate, I say the BCS is being led by SEC officials.  The first game was a low scoring game whihc was a yawner.  As a College Fan, I appreciate good comptetive games and would love to see LSU play someone they have not played already.  Alabama has already played LSU and did not win, bottom line.  LSU has demonstrated over the past 13 games it deserves to be Number 1, but sorry Bama fans, I feel that Oklahoma State deserves to play LSU.  Yes they did lose a game, but considering under the circumstances they lost, they should be placed in the #2 spot.  Thye are a high scoring Offensive team that would give the public a better game.  Again, the debate will be brought up, the NCAA needs to create a play-off system.   Take the top four - six teams and use the current Bowl System to determine a True Champion.  The biases the voters show is being harmful to the Fan.  I foir onewill not watch the LSU - Bama game, if indeed Mr Palm has it correct.  I can tell you it may be a low rated game for sure.

Are you kidding me???? A team that didnt win their conference should not have the right to get into the National Championship. OSU definley has a case here they won the big 12 they deserve a shot. Alabama you had your chance. I so hope LSU wins by 40 just to show the bcs they made a mistake!
