Sources tell me tonight that it's official: LSU and Alabama will meet again in New Orleans in the BCS title game.  It still remains to be seen whether or not TCU automatically qualifies for a BCS berth (I'm not optimistic).

That would put Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl, against Stanford (an automatic qualifier).

The Orange will have Clemson facing West Virginia.

The Sugar will feature Michigan against Virginia Tech.

Other bowl matchups are starting to leak out as well.  Keep checking our bowl page for the latest.

Stanford vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys! NCS!!

The SEC obviously do not want a challenge, so the Cardinal's are stuck with the amazing Cowboy's.  Honestly, I am a Sooner fan, however, after seeing the Cowboy's stand up and take away like they did last night.  I am pretty sure that Stanford as good as they are.  They are going to have one hell of a game.  Weeden, he's just going to do what he does, reminds me of Drew Bree's, he does not panick.  Justin Blackmen... heck, he owns..   Randle and Smith duo.. Holy hell, are you kidding me, them boys rip it up when that BADDASS OSU LINE GIVES THEM ROOM!

As promised, Gundy has provided a new threat in the old big 12.  He love's the team and it is going to be rightious going forward.  Do, your research on him.  Gundy will make sure this team win whether or not they want to.

What I like about him most is that, even when death hit.  He took the high road. He said basically, shake it all off an do not think about football. Screw football when it comes to family and deep core feelings.  Sure, they lost a game to Iowa state.  Iowa state could actually be a great team if they had everthing working together.

I actually kind of brings the best out of Robert Stoops, he hated that loss in the way it happend.. while at the same time, he knows what Gundy has done.  I mean, Gundy CRUSHED the Sooners.  No ifs, and's or butt's.  Across the board.  It had nothing to do with Whaley or Broyles being out.. neither of them are defence.  Great players no less, but OU put up no defence.

OU put up no defence because they did not care.  They're heart was out of that game and never in it.

Stanford now is really a test for Oklahoma State.  These young kids that have worked so hard this year, need to regroup after a major blow again.
Here is what I think about when I think about them.  I really do not know Weeden's fate, but I pretty much know Blackmans fate.

We are probably going to lose two hot shots.  Tell ya what though, Moore and Randle.. that is a pretty nifty duo.

I didn't get to watch Randle run enough this year and seeing smith step up.. ohh.. baby.. that is a nasty duo.

Sure,  dropping tons of yardage this year sucked, and send OSU into the 100's as far as defence... let us remember that just because people can make yards in open field is cool and all.. its the points that matter.

finally.. honestly answer.. im a sooner.  Do you really think that LSU or Alabama can stop this offence 60% of the time?  AND? are your players capable ot ripping a few things away from you?

cheers!

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

I'm another one that will not be watching the BCS National Championship game. It really won't prove a thing. The only team that scored points on LSU was not from the SEC conference but from the PAC 10 conference. What that tells me is that the SEC is not a very offensive oriented conference. I really think Oklahoma State would take them. But, we'll never know and I definitely will not be watching the mean-nothing game. It doesn't prove a thing.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

IT'S BOISE STATE   THEY DID NOT LOSE A GAME BUT ALAS THEY GAVE ONE AWAY BUT 2 A TOP 15 TEAM..........??

That makes no sense...Bama lost to the #1 team at home...Boise loses at home to TCU...Uh yeah...Thanks for playing TurtleBchBum..

I agree there needs to be a playoff but there is no doubt in my mind the two best teams are playing in the National Championship Game...and there is no doubt in my mind that Alabama would beat Oklahoma State if they played at a neutral site. Look both teams shut down Arkansas who is also better than Oklahoma State.

With that being said.. If there were a Playoff System right now...THESE TWO TEAMS WOULD PLAY EACH OTHER IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. NOBODY in COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS GOING TO BATON ROUGE or TUSCALOOSA and BEATING EITHER OF THESE TEAMS.. SO THE #1 SEED AND THE #2 SEED WOULD HOLD UP IN A PLAYOFF SYSTEM.

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

Let me say it , as someone who doesn't know s#ht about footbal ...   LSU played Alabama  a  few weeks ago? and won the game?!
why do they have to play agin to see who is better?!  LSU already beat the, right?.        Get RID of the B SH&T C S  NOWWWW!!!
OSTATE  has a good QB and a great offense - let's watch a fesh game- not a rerun of what we just saw- BOYCOT the game folks... I promise you I will  NOT watch the game...

I am not  an SEC or BIG 12 or BIG 10  or ACC , etc homie-  I am an american college footbal fan who is tired of this " all about the greed " system that keeps avoiding an NCAA Division 1   playooff format " so we can keep our  big Bowl money payoff"       this a inexcusable - f/ck the powers that be that allow this disgrace to happen...

If you don't like the Bowl system or the BCS, I would recommend that every "regular season" game is s single elimination.  You lose a game, you're out.  Teams keep playing until there is only one unbeaten left.  I can guarantee you if there is a playoff system or tournament someone is still going to feel left out or cheated.  You might not think Bama is the #2 or even #3 team in the country.  But if you had a playoff between the conference champions this year, Bama wouldn't even qualify.  Teams with 3 or 4 losses like Northern Illinois and Louisiana Tech would be playing while Alabama at 11-1 sits at home.  If you set up a playoff by inviting teams based on record/standings only, you could end up inviting Arkansas State instead of Michigan State.  But if EVERY game is a single elimination, each game counts, and you can't end up with a champion with more losses than a team that played a "weaker" schedule.

CBS did nothing but lobby for Alabama. It's not about the two best teams it's all about the $$$$$

LSU-Alabama, the sequel

as a person with no ties to either conference i can look at this objectively. one team beat 3 ranked teams the other team beat 7 ranked teams. one came from a conferencce with 4 teams in the top 25 in the bcs and the other team from a conference with 6 teams in the bcs top 25. so this sec dominance one speaks of is fales. the big 12 had more top 25 teams than the sec and osu had more quality wins than alabama by this criteria they should be in oh and they finished as conference champs not 3rd in conference.
