This video's well into the viral stage now, but it's too good not to keep on spreading.

You want to know why Tyler Zeller, Harrison Barnes and John Henson -- all first-round draft picks -- decided to forgo that opportunity in 2011 and choose instead to return to school? Look no further than the video below, which brings evidence of a team that's entirely too loving of each other.

Reesenews, a digital news publication that operates under the umbrella of North Carolina's J school, wanted a behind-the-scenes experience of the conduct, camaraderie and candor from Carolina's players during the weekend of the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. So they gave walk-on D.J. Johnston a hand-held Flipcam and let him go to work. Johnston is part of the five-man walk-on crew that glossed itself Blue Steel.

Throughout the season, Blue Steel and the stars of the Heels had prank wars, wars that are probably still going on as we speak. I covered the nature of the team's relationship and said pranks in this column while in Newark.   It only makes sense that UNC would further prove their goofiness and constant ribbing on camera. A well-done job by Reesenews to put this into motion.

The video's more than 12 minutes long. The best part, in my opinion, is the final 90 seconds, when the team has a freestyle chant on the bus ride back to the hotel after walloping Marquette in the Sweet 16. There's also the goofy side of the stern-faced Barnes, a lot of hamming from Henson, as well as a tuberculosis discussion that's managed to be made into something funny.

I'd love to say that video makes me miss college, but I can hardly identify with what those players went through or what they're doing. I'll say this: It definitely does not make me miss Newark.

Beyond wanting to complete the dream and goal -- a highly realistic one -- of winning a national title, who could deny that what's shown above is as much a reason as any other for the triumvirate coming back? Strong relationships can be one of the most influential forces in the world. Carolina seems to have something special here.

Here's why Barnes, Zeller, Henson came back

I am not sure why barnes didnt come out but he was projected top 5 so moving up wasnt the reason - maybe upcoming labor problems, as for zeller everybody thought Hansborough was going to be a bust did you watch the playoffs...kind of sick of the white guy who looked at times unstoppable in the tourney being the least likely to do well in the NBA ? Henson needs to gain weight and some offensive skills and alot of Polish he will get destroyed with that game and body at the next level.

...The real championship??...Biased much???...
Really? You have the nerve to call me biased? I am just stating fact. Look it up. The ACC does not recognize 1st place of the regular season as the champs. That goes to the winner of the tourney. Its been that way for 50 years.

Ask ANY coach in America, would you rather win the regular season or the conference tourney...Im willing to bet they say regular season...Ya know, when you actually play everybody.
I would be willing to bet they want to win both. Both are great accomplishments, ask anybody. I dont know any division 1 coaches personally, so I cant ask. The only one I have ever heard of, is Roy. If I am wrong, prove it.

Have your team play second place ball all season when it counts, but then snake a crappy 4 day tournament and claim we're champs!!!!..
Second place ball all season? Duke was in first place for almost the entire season. The only time they were not, was after the last game in Chapel Hill. Congrats to heels on winning the regular season deciding game on thier home court.

Forget that the whole ACC season crown came down to the last game in Chapel Hill, with ALL THE INTENSITY AND EMOTION included, and UNC whooped Duke's ass...That obviously meant nothing...That game played on Selection Sunday afternoon while the seeds for the ncaa were already determined was obviously so much more important...right??...I mean, they played hard for the previous 2 days...2 whole days of competiton came down to that one game..intense stuff...Im sure an entire 3 months of playing ball, culminating in a winner take all game in Chapel Hill, obviously wasnt as heated or important...right???
They did whoop Duke's ass, no doubt about it. In Chapel Hill though. Yes, I put more stock in the ass whipping that Duke put on the heels on a neutral court. It was not really neutral though. The crowd was probably at least 75% heel supporters. I never said the regular season is not important, I want Duke to win that, just as much as the tourney. I value them both equally. However, the ACC governing body only recognizes the tournament winner as the ACC champions. Once again. LOOK IT UP!

There is no such thing as "regular season champs" in the ACC by laws. That is a fact.

Here is another fact for you. Duke is the only ACC champion, and have been the only ACC champion for the last 3 seasons, and 10 of the last 13 seasons. IDIOT!

Here's why Barnes, Zeller, Henson came back

Barnes needs to improve his fundamentals and has a chance to move up in draft order. Henson needs to keep developing physically and to add some polish. Zeller is an academic All American who can star at the college level and will be marginal at the next level. They will once again have Kendall Marshall distributing the ball expertly. They will have the Dex Factor as a defensive stopper. Oh, and it looks like James McAdoo might occasionally remind us of his uncle.
This team has a very real chance to be the national champions. That had to factor in helping each of these kids make the right decision for themselves.

They might even have a chance to win the real ACC championship. I think its been changed to "The Duke Invitational" now

...The real championship??...Biased much???...If you put more stock into a 4 day tournament played on neutral courts instead of a full 16 game schedule played on heated rivalry courts, then you dont know anything about basketball, buddy. Ask ANY coach in America, would you rather win the regular season or the conference tourney...Im willing to bet they say regular season...Ya know, when you actually play everybody...I think its funny, reality here no BS, that Roy Williams has said for over 20 years that he could care less about the conference tourneys, while Coach K has stated how bad he wants to win it...I dont blame Coach K....Have your team play second place ball all season when it counts, but then snake a crappy 4 day tournament and claim we're champs!!!!..Forget that the whole ACC season crown came down to the last game in Chapel Hill, with ALL THE INTENSITY AND EMOTION included, and UNC whooped Duke's ass...That obviously meant nothing...That game played on Selection Sunday afternoon while the seeds for the ncaa were already determined was obviously so much more important...right??...I mean, they played hard for the previous 2 days...2 whole days of competiton came down to that one game..intense stuff...Im sure an entire 3 months of playing ball, culminating in a winner take all game in Chapel Hill, obviously wasnt as heated or important...right???
...Face it coachkball, obviously you think the ACC tourney is more important because your team won it but lost the regular season...you wont admit it, obviously, but everyone knows the regular season is more important and has all the bragging rights..Can a 'fluke' conference tourney champ be crowned (meaning lets say a team seeded below 8 in the conference tourney)?...Yeah, been done before. BUT can a team 'fluke' its way to a 16 game regular season crown???...Ummm..NO..Any team can win a conference tourney title, but only the truly best team will win the regular season. If you dont understand that a full 16 game conference schedule is more important than a 4 day event, you're stupid. And I will say the same thing when my Heels win the 'Duke Invitational' next year....LOL..I remember when our '09 National title team didnt win the ACC tourney...but won the reg season...I guess Duke was the better team that year....right???..Sorry to say...IDIOT
