You win, Kyle Singler

The first iteration of Kyle Singler's trick-shot-making abilities came at the beginning of last season. It was an amazing video, but I took a few shots at Singler then because it seemed to be too inspired by Mark Titus, college basketball's originator of comedic trick-shot videos.

Turns out Singler's serious about his skills. He unleashed his Gets Buckets 2.0 video recently, and it's particularly ridiculous. This is now the standard-bearer for all trick-shot videos. And I say this as someone who's pretty sick of these things as it is. Teenagers across America are wasting their lives compiling hours upon hours of tape, afternoon after afternoon, in hopes to become the next one-day Internet sensation.

Put the iPhones and cameras down, kids. Singler just put you all to sleep. The pool shot is my favorite, even if the Chapel chuck makes the video.

there is no skill whatsoever in dropping a ball off a building into a basket..its a matter of dropping the ball hundreds of times until eventually it goes in and then posting the video of the one that did. it's truly lame.

The only thing that would be impressive is if it really was faked...that would at least make it pretty impressive editing.

I'm not saying they editted out all the misses. I'm saying he never made the shots in the first place. This type of seamless editting "magic" is done constantly these days by even amateurs. Check out YouTube sometime (or Mythbusters) ... ROFLMAO

I cant believe all these meatheaded comments on here. Actually, check that. It does not surprise me at all. This site is just infested with children that hate anything associated with the name Duke.

Keep it up kiddies. Duke will just keep on giving you fits.

Kyle Singler will be sorely missed in Durham. On and off the court. One of the classiest kids to ever put on a Duke uniform.

How many trips to the roof of the chapel with a dozen basketballs were needed?? . I don't see an elevator being there... Pretty Cool

Even if he took 1000 shots, the chapel video is pretty cool.  Think how many times they had to lug balls up to the top just so he could take those shots.  More impressive is that he had a group of dummies do it for him so he could keep shooting.  That is most impressive part.  I guess it is a better use of time than beer pong, flip cups or upside down bong hits.  Or is it?

Carlos Boozer, Grant Hill and Elton Brand are perrenial all-stars.  Not busts.

Tell that to Carlos Boozer, Luol Deng, Cory Maggette, Jason Williams, J.J. Reddick, Josh McRoberts, Grant Hill, Mike Dunleavy, Danny Ferry, John Scheyer, Donte Jones, Elton Brand, Kyrie Irving and on and on and on... Sure their are busts, as with any school, but compared to those that actually get drafted and play some in the NBA, there are some real good ones out there from Duke and plenty more to come...

I'm not impressed.  You can take any Joe Shmoe and give him enough attempts and they'll do the same thing.  A better highlight video would be him in actual game, elevating over a defender, from 6 feet behind the arc, with a second left, down by 2.... SWOOSH!...  Buckets.
