Kentucky will announce on Monday that John Calipari's contract has increased in value over the terms of his initial deal and been extended by two years, a source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Sunday.

Calipari's intial contract with UK was for eight years and nearly $32 million.

The Wildcats are 64-12 in two seasons under Calipari.

They made the Elite Eight in 2010 and the Final Four in 2011.

They'll be ranked No. 2 in the CBSSports.com preseason Top 25 (and one).

But, again, your OPINION of Coach Cal being dirty is just that. And, you continually use that as a way to make your point, whereas, I have given FACTS that prove otherwise.

At this point, I am going to end the discussion. There is no point going on because your opinion will never change, and neither will the facts.

This is a whole different conversation.

Come tourney-time, I root for Syracuse and the other 31 crappiest teams. No question. I want only the best for the Orangemen. HOWEVER, I grew up an SU fan living in DC, then Tampa. Once I moved to Tampa, I was completely out of the loop for league play (USF was years before joining the Big East), so I watched a ton of SEC b-ball. I liked Kentucky. They were awesome to watch in the early 90s. Then I went to UF, they happened to build a solid team during my time there, so I obviously became a fan. I mean, All I had to do was walk across the street to see games or even check out practices.

So I understand why you don't see me as a "true fan" and that doesn't bother me at all. But I also think it is silly to try to turn people out just because they don't "Bleed" your color. Anyway, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other; My entire point was that there are a fair share of eople out there that can't stand Cal for reasons that have nothing to do with jealousy, fear, or a biterness to UK. Iknow several disgruntled UK fans that live right down the block. I hear about it ALL the time. haha

Now just because I wavered a little tiny bit between 2000 and 2009, I hope you haven't thrown me off the bandwagon.

Pops......you may have wavered, but you never got off the band wagon. Unlike Will.....who I still don't believe was ever a fan, despite what he says.

I know you've already responed to me but I wanted to put this out there before we piss each other off again. (haha)

Not pissed off at all. But, to me, you will NEVER be a Kentucky fan. You can't have one foot in/one foot out the door. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't take a nibble without paying for the whole pie. You can't call ketchup, catsup.

I think you get my OPINION here.....your OPINION is that you are a fan. My OPINION, again, is that you never were and never will be. I root for one team (Kentucky) and hope all other 67 teams in the NCAA Tournament lose. I don't HAVE a list of favorite teams. My list is simple. I root for Kentucky, and will PULL for whoever is playing against Loserville. But, pulling for a team doesn't make me a fan of that team.
I HATE Kansas, dUKe, Loserville, Syracuse, North Carolina, Ohio St., etc....etc....etc.....

While you may not see me as a fan of Kentucky, and I'm not compared to the "true" fans, I was at least a ? partial? fan throughout the 80's and 90's so I DO understand the hell ya'll went through during those many years. One of the things I like the most about Kentucky is the history and the die-hard fans. But one of the things that I hate is the blind aliegence to a guy that does not deserve that alliegence. Anyway, what I'm saying is; I hear you when you talk about going through the Sutton/Smith/Gillispe stuff. That sucked. I honestly really do hope that it doesn't happen again.

I also like UConn since they were the first team I saw win an NCG live (amazing win over the evil Duke empire in '99

Now Smith and 86, a man who calls Duke, the evil Duke empire, can't be all bad.

I will have to agree with you on this one,Willroast.

I will have to give you a 4 star on the Duke comment.

Trust me, I think I can speak for most of the Big Blue Nation.......we don't want you as a fan. Stick with your Syracuse program. To be a Kentucky fan, you can't do it half a$$ed.....you either are, or you aren't. You stick with the team through the best and the worst, and, if Coach Cal is your "worst", then the Big Blue Nation (without you) is doing just fine. I have been one since the day I saw them win the 1978 National Title, when I was 7 yrs old, and have NEVER waivered on Kentucky. I have sat through the Eddie Sutton scandal, the rebuilding under Pitino, the mediocrity of Tubby Smith, and the drunkeness of Billy Clyde Gillispie. But I have NEVER waivered in my faith in Kentucky. So, again, if you want off the "band wagon", then do ALL TRUE Kentucky fans a favor.....please stay off forever.

Doggone it Smith, if I was a true blooded Cardinal or Hoosier fan, you would have convinced me to convert to a Wildcat fan.

Now just because I wavered a little tiny bit between 2000 and 2009, I hope you haven't thrown me off the bandwagon.

You know I have been following the Wildcats since the 1950's and it would break this old man's heart if you did that.

Nah. I'll just go ahead and like them again after Cal is gone. You see, I love college basketball so I love more than one team. My favorite team, by far, is Syracuse but I was living in the dorms across from the O'Connell Center when the Gators got their first Final Four so I love them as my #2. Until Kentucky loses their coach, I'll have Kansas as my #3, but they'll switch after Cal leaves. I also like UConn since they were the first team I saw win an NCG live (amazing win over the evil Duke empire in '99). That's kind of the point, you see? I'm not "hating" on Kentucky at all. I just don't like dirty coaches.

Thanks for your advice, but I'll go ahead and eep liking college b-ball the way I have been. It works for me.

Funnything about those glasses; Turns out, you can be a fan of a team without having to wear them. I know this because I was a fan of Kentucky before Cal and I will be again after. But I won't be during.

I mean seriously...Did you really find a way to call me "racist" based on some kind of watered-down wacky logic stream? Honestly...
