Kentucky will announce on Monday that John Calipari's contract has increased in value over the terms of his initial deal and been extended by two years, a source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Sunday.

Calipari's intial contract with UK was for eight years and nearly $32 million.

The Wildcats are 64-12 in two seasons under Calipari.

They made the Elite Eight in 2010 and the Final Four in 2011.

They'll be ranked No. 2 in the CBSSports.com preseason Top 25 (and one).

UK extends Calipari's contract by two years

Funny Ky is known as a state.
What something is "known as" and what is fact is are two seperate argument.  The FACT is, KY is not a state, it's a commonwealth.   Using a nickname is hardly an argument of fact - I suppose the "flyin' Hawaiin" truly has the ability of flight?

But since you like to go with nickname's and what's "known as" as facts - lets bring this back to topic.  Calipari is known by many as "The Vacater" as "known as" a cheater by everyone outside of Kentucky.  Care to admit this as fact now?

Maybe the most correct statement would be: some individuals that live in the state of Ky have trouble processing in general.  That would be more logical.
Actually, that wouldn't be logical or correct at all as KY is not a state - it's a commonwealth.  Maybe you should go back to keeping your mouth shut, but I appreciate you opening it and eliviating all doubt.

But feel free to keep arguing semantics if it helps you feel intelligent when you go to bed.

From Wikipedia:

The Commonwealth of Kentucky ( ) is a located in the East Central

Kentucky is known as the "Bluegrass State",

Funny Ky is known as a state.

An arguments such as yours is called:clutching at straws

Or as they say in debating circles: a Red herring

You disappoint me by presenting such a poor discussion or argument.

Really a waste of time.

An old saying goes like this:  Better to be thought a fool, then open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I think someone should take his own advice after claiming that only 2 of 2 million UK fans are racist...

First of all, if you are going to quote me, please be accurate.

My quote was:

"Now 2 we know of are racist out of 2 million".

and your words were:

only 2 of 2 million UK fans are racist...

Not exactly the same words are they.

So when you repeat my comments, it would be nice if you could do it accurately.

But maybe it was done on purpose and remove all doubt.

UK extends Calipari's contract by two years

twocoach:
You act like I was discing Calipari , on the contrary, I do not blame anyone going out and getting what they can get. I don't really care how he spends his money. I have a very good job and make really good money. You missed the point. The point being that market value these days are way overboard compared to the state of the nation. Now I'm not upset with anyone that can bring in that kind of jack, I think its sad the prices that sports venues continue to charge for everything, but the fans still keep going. Market value is dropping, look at Nascar, $180.00 for a ticket, they are not filling the stands. It's catching up with them. Nobody is worth that much money period. But they can demand that kind of money because some one is willing to pay it. I' understand PBA and the money with it. I'm a good bowler who choose not to go pro because there's no money in it. Bowling is boring to watch. the top ten make a good living at it. BS or not , times are tough and if you can't see it then your living in cave. It's unfortunate because a lot of people that receive that kind of money live in a different world then average folk. They don't live pay check to paycheck.  so relax and take me the wrong way, I don't what I want but I have what I need.

or if you're just from Kentucky and have trouble processing in general.

CWERGS-I love it when folks use GENERAL statements, like the above.  It would be the same as saying that Michigan fans don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground.  Is there any truth in that statement?  Hell,no.  But you sure told that guy off didn't you.  Or did you.  You only made yourself a fool.

It is very amusing to listen to folks like you CWergs.  Each time you post all the doubt is removed

Maybe the most correct statement would be: some individuals that live in the state of Ky have trouble processing in general.  That would be more logical.

Pretty funny and pretty sad considering that not only did he get his picture with the man but did so and made the racist comment all with his 5 year old son on his shoulders.

CWergs- So what is your point.  That 1 man and his child made a racist comment. I'm guessing there are about 4 million people in Ky. And probably at lease half the population of Ky are Wildcat fans.  So we are down to 2 million(approx) Wildcat fans.  Now 2 we know of are racist out of 2 million.  I believe that is about  .0001% of the population of Wildcat fans are racist, using your own premise.

I don't know about you but that is too high a percentage of racism.  Lets notify the NAACP,NATIONAL GUARD, or THE KY STATE POLICE to rectify this embarassment.

Tell you what,CWergs.  I wonder if I could find 2 folks that are racist in your state.

What you say!!Surprised

Best UK Fan Encounter

Here is the best thing I've ever witnessed to describe UK fans.

I was at Keenland about 7 years ago (a racing track in Lexington) when UK had the 7'2'' center, Shagari I think was his name.  Anyways, we're at the track and he's there with Azabuki.  A random UK fan, with his 5 year old kid sitting on his shoulders, goes up and gets a picture taken with the big guy.  Cut to the chase, after taking the picture he's walking away and clearly says to his buddy, "That's one big "N-word"".

Pretty funny and pretty sad considering that not only did he get his picture with the man but did so and made the racist comment all with his 5 year old son on his shoulders.

UK extends Calipari's contract by two years

Also to the confused and conflicted Notre Dame fan lol.....Read much? Pete Carroll coached at USC man. Not Ohio St. That's Jim Tressel.
I'm not sure if you're refering to my post or not since I'm a Michigan fan - but as I was the one using Ohio St and Pete Carroll references, I'll assume you were just trying to be funny with the "Notre Dame" thing.

If you noticed, I compared UK fans to OSU fans as both are color blind when it comes to their school/coaches as to why the rest of the nation has doubt.  Then, in a seperate comparison I put Calipari and Carroll in the same sentence as both have maintained plausible deniability at their past universities where wins were vacated.  It wouldn't be a fair comparison to put Calipari and Tressel together as it's a proven fact that Tressel knew of wrongdoings.

Assuming I was correct that it was my post you were calling it - I don't know if it's the fact that I put two seperate comparisons in one thought that confused you or if you're just from Kentucky and have trouble processing in general.  Either way - I hope that this clears things up for you.

UK extends Calipari's contract by two years

hahaha he just only has seasons vacated from the other schools he coached that dont have enough money to cover his trail like kentucky.

What you mean like your favorite team UCONN(vict) tries to cover for Calhoun? You did say you where a hugh huskies fan right? Even though you don't list them as a favorite.

But why all the hate for Calipari. Seriously. Get a life, a job, or a damn girlfriend. Jesus. All these colleges and coaches getting busted left and right, sanction after sanction, and scandal after scandal, yet it's always Calipari this and Calipari that.

Oh he's dirty just you wait Kentucky fans when the NCAA finds out blah blah blah. Here's a fact for all you would be I told you so's.....He's not been caught yet. And make no mistake about this nex sentence.....Kentucky is a fishbowl. Whatever he does, say's, goes outside of his own home and spoken in private to his closest friends and family will be analysed, ripped, dissected and torn apart in every way imagined by not only the fans but by the local and national media as well as anyone that wants to see UK fail. (Had to give a nod to lil bro here) Guys like Jerry Tipton, Eric Crawford, Rick Bozich, Pat Forde, Dana O'Neil, among many others would love nothing more than to find whatever dirt they could to prove all you haters out there correct. Why? Because that's the break of a lifetime. Their career is made for them...

So whatever he's doing is either within the NCAA rules or he's so damn slick they can't catch him. Either way with all sincerity and respect bite me.
