The NCAA’s decision in the Oklahoma men’s basketball probe is expected this week, sources told CBSSports.com. Former Sooners coach Jeff Capel will not be named in the report.

Former Oklahoma assistant Oronde Taliaferro resigned in April 2010 after it was found that he had made numerous phone calls to a Merrill Lynch representative in Florida.

The investigation was triggered by a TMZ.com report that former Oklahoma big man Keith “Tiny” Gallon had received a wire transfer from the financial representative, Jeffrey Hausinger.

The school conducted its own investigation before the NCAA’s probe.

Capel, who was fired after this past season, is not named in the report. Capel was 96-69 in five seasons at the helm and has since taken a job at an assistant coach at Duke, his alma mater.

Taliaferro, who is no longer in college basketball, is expected to receive a show-cause penalty for his part in the investigation.

Why is it that bad things keep happening in the OU basketball program and no coach is held accountable.   Kelvin Sampson was allowed to go straight to Indiana as if no wrong had been done and bury that program, it's only just beginning to come back.  Now the same types of things start up again and Jeff Capel is allowed to go jump on Coach K's bench as if he's not responsible.  The head coach is accountable for everything that goes on in the program at all times and they are paid well for it, the NCAA needs to step in and make sure these coaches take responsibility for what their assistant coaches and players do.

M&G. were any of those 10 titles in a field of 64? I have alot of respect for Wooden and UCLA's 10 Championships, but I for one stand still in my opinion. There is Coach K and then everybody else.

Really? The greatest of all-time?

4 national championships during Coach K's tenure compared to 10 national championships, including 7 in a row, for Coach Wooden.

You might want to re-think your statement of greatest of all-time.
