The NCAA has declared Ohio State freshman LaQuinton Ross a non-qualifier, a source confirmed to CBSSports.com on Monday. Consequently, the 6-foot-8 forward will not attend OSU this year. A source told CBSSports.com that Ross will "return home" to Mississippi, "take a class and retake the SAT."

CBSSports.com ranked Ross 13th in the Class of 2011.

The Buckeyes are still expected to be a consensus top-five team.

The movie Deliverance is a pretty good gauge of the breed of “folk” down south.Yeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Go Bucks.

What’s the difference between an illegal Mexican and ET?
ET learned English, didn’t claim benefits, had his own bike, and wanted to go home!

This kid wouldn't have been eligible anywhere.

Isn't funny how a kid from Mississippi fails to "make the grade" at OSU and yet even with completely inversely proportional educational facilities in the South, they all seem to be eligible for SEC schools (of course, they can always go to a JC or Hargrave, etc and play next year anyway).  Just something that maybe only I find interesting.

As for the "top winning percentages and wins"... that's quite the tweak to what is relavent today.  It may say something about a program's overall success but it's difficult to fault a program today for its lack of success in 1937.  Yes, its that's dumb.

You should note that O$U is at the end to this list, which means they are the 37th best program ever.

I also noticed that your list is by wins and not winning percentage.  If you go by winning percentage, the order of the list changes significantly and OSU moves up 5 slots (past Bradley, Oregon State, Okie State, St Joe's and Missouri).

Ohio State is kind of an up and down program, but they are sixth all time in Final Four appearances, so to imply they have a poor basketball history is a bit shortsighted.  And with something like 335+ teams playing D-I basketball, being #37 overall is pretty stout.
