UPDATE: Terrence Jones was also involved in the car accident, John Calipari announced. He left the scene after the accident, but was later questioned by police.

According to reports, the accident occurred at 2:30 a.m. Calipari said the team will have a curfew for the rest of the season as a result.

Kentucky’s Stacey Poole was involved in a car accident along with another person, Lexington police said Friday morning.

Poole and the driver suffered minor injuries when another car swerved into the wrong lane and hit the car, knocking the SUV into a parked car.

Police charged the driver of the other car with DUI and insurance violations. The driver of Poole’s car has not been released.

A TV station reported that Poole tweeted, “Yoooo, im good!!!”

Kentucky's Jones, Poole involved in car accident

So Jones was in an SUV that got struck hard to get pushed into another car. He left the scene to (according to the article) avoid an altercation with the driver.  Unless this drunk dude was waving a gun around, why would you leave the scene of an accident where you got belted by another car?  I could care less about him being a KY basketball player, so I don't have any hidden agendas. I'm just wanting someone else's honest opinion. The only reasonable explanation I can think of for Poole to leave would be if he had been drinking, had beer or weed in the car, something that he wouldn't want cops to see.  I know when I was in college, if we were out at 2:30am, we weren't coming back from a study group.  Coach Cal is smart to put a curfew in place anyway. I'm surprised there wasn't one already.

Kentucky's Jones, Poole involved in car accident

Fact is, Jones, Poole, and a friend (the driver, Larry Warren, Terrence’s high school friend from Portland) were in the gym working out right before the accident () ... so I'm not sure what else certain people are hoping comes out.

Also, right after this incident, Calipari announced that he will be imposing a curfew for the remainder of the season.

That's correct, bluegray213 - college students NEVER go out that late unless they were drinking, right?  If that was the case taco bell (or cabana) would be out of business.

Kentucky's Jones, Poole involved in car accident

Just fortunate that Jones and Poole were not injured in the accident.  Kansas plays Kentucky on tuesday November 15th.  I hope Kentucky's Jones and Poole will be available to play in that game and have no injuries that would effect their play.  Should be a great game.  Kansas is very young and it will be a challenge for sure!

I'm not really sure there is a story here.  College students out at 2:30 and they were not drinking and someone else hits them.  No one was injured so why is this even being reported at all.

Glad to see he's alright and no suspensions will be issued for violating team rules, of course there would have to be team rules for that to occur. Just show up with the full roster next Tuesday at Madsion Square Garden, no excuses when this rebuilding Kansas teams shows why Claipari is Calipari....

Care to enlighten us as to which team rules were broken? Have you read the entire story? Do YOU know what happened? No, you don't. But, allow me to enlighten you.

1) Provide me an instance where a coach IMMEDIATELY suspends players WITHOUT gathering the facts first. You can't, because it has never happened. Coaches like to gather ALL the information before making a rash judegement....it's called DUE PROCESS. (Thank God that you will never be a juror....GUILTY is all you would ever proclaim.).

2) Coach Cal HAS stated that ANY punishment would be handled INTERNALLY. This, again, is no difference than what ANY other coach would do. When Self suspended Selby last year, do YOU know why he did it? No, because it was an INTERNAL issue, that you and everybody else had NO business knowing about.

3) Yes, Kentucky WILL have a full roster, but I guess your excuse for losing is because Kansas is rebuilding. Well, you know what....it happens. Deal with it. Personally, I would LOVE to see Kentucky do to Kansas what Kansas did when they beat Kentucky back in 1991 (I believe), when Kansas scored over 150 on Kentucky.

4) CLAIPARI is NOT CALIPARI. Learn to spell. You make yourself look STUPID.
