Adidas unveils new uniforms for postseason

Apparently Adidas isn’t superstitious when it comes to not changing things heading into the postseason.

On Tuesday morning, the company revealed new uniforms for Baylor, Louisville and Cincinnati for the upcoming tournaments.

At first glance, the Cincinnati and Louisville ones are pretty solid. Louisville has the metallic gray that everyone seems to be wearing these days, although the stripes on the shorts don’t really fit what “Cardinals” do. Cincinnati’s stripes on the shorts make sense, since they’re the “Bearcats” and all, and the black-on-black jersey and shorts look is nice.

And then we have Baylor. I would say it's a disaster, but some people like the really, really bright colors. So I'll say it's tough to look at for a long time. I personally prefer a hint of neon when it comes to uniforms. Either sneakers or socks -- but not the entire thing in a monochromatic neon.

First of all, they look like they glow in the dark. I’m not sure if it’s a neon green, highlighter yellow, or something else. The Bears also have the stripes on the shorts, which in this case probably helps onlookers not gouge their eyes out. The best part? The neon socks and shoelaces. That really ties it all together.

Which new uniform do you think is the best?

Update: Apparently Baylor also had a black uniform released today (per a comment below). And it's awesome. Seriously. Check out the alternate here

They will have to wear the "HOMIE" unis....... The black ones are their away dress.  The Baylor uniforms are just pathetically ugly!

Dear "probably don't realize you sound racist" guy, Maybe you could stop to think for a minute and think that most people want to look "good" when they dress. Maybe they did away with the short shorts partially for the reason you mentioned. If it accents skinny legs, is it not sensible to wear longer shorts? Why does covering up your bad parts make you look "threatening"? I can understand the "you kids get off my lawn", old man, times are changing anger. Change can be frightening. I even understand a certain bit of the "you don't have to follow the crowd and wear black every day" take. But it's you that has to wear the "all those kids want to look threatening" attitude, not them. That's your hang up.

I like Cincy and Louisville, but Baylors unis are absolutely awful looking. Good thing we will only have to see them for one, maybe two games in the tourney.

I would rather pack my rectum full of M80's and squat over a flamming Hibachi than watch a game played with these uniforms on.

Good to see Adidas and Nike found all that Neon yellow fabric in the back of their warehouses, it's just been sitting there since 1991, way to go.

Is Baylor sponsoring a road construction crew or something?

Puhleeze. Enough of the urban, hip hop, tough guy uniform nonsense. It was bad enough when quasi-trousers were adopted to cover up skinny legs, and to make players look "thicker", and thus more "threatening". Then they changed the jerseys to also make the players arms look more muscular, and of course more "threatening". Finally, it has come down to altering uniform colors. Every school has to have black or grey uniforms, even though those are not school colors. Urban kids all want to wear black and grey. If they had their choice they would wear all black, black numerals, black lettering, black sleeves, black headbands, black socks, and of course black shoes. They think it makes them look more "threatening", and somehow makes them tough. Guess if they wore all black, opponents would be afradi to play them huh? What a load of crap. The color of the uniform, shoes or socks does not make one play better or worse. It doesn't make you tougher. It doesn't intimidate opponents. It only makes money for the manufacturers i.e. Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Russell, Wilson etc. Thank goodness most of the traditional power schools don't mess with their unis. They don't have to. They don't need to. All of this social engineering nonsense is for the crapmo schools and wannabes. Don't mess with tradition.

Poor Baylor. Heck, maybe they can glow when you get some black light on them. Turn off the stadium lights, illuminate the backboard and rim, and we're all set. Then Baylor can change their name from the Bears to the Tron's. BRB, gotta throw up...

Geez! That maybe the worst uniform I've ever seen. I thought Oregon's uniforms were hidious these far surpass them.
