Lose one, gain another. That's what has happened to Clemson after losing defensive end De’Quan Bowers to the NFL draft but picking up a key recruit in Ashville (NC) defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan, according to the Spartanburg Herald-Journal

A former Florida commitment, Pagan decommitted following the retirement of head coach Urban Meyer and the departure of defensive line coach Dan McCarney to become head coach at North Texas. At 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Pagan has good size and a frame to add more weight and move inside to tackle. With a very quick first step, he could grab playing time early at Clemson in pass rush situations.

He’s second best defensive end for the class of 2011 and the 24th commitment for the Tigers.

It's nice to see Clemson pulling some top recruits. Having graduated from both Auburn and Clemson, Clemson does have a very nice campus and great atmospshere, very similar to Auburn. They have a great fan base and alums that want to dive in with both feet to support this program, but even the most diehard CU fans I know this year were put off with the way the season went. Hopefully a new OC and these top recruits will get CU back to the top of the ACC. It has been a while, but they have the talent to do it...they just need to right coaches.

How does Clemson pull in top recruits continually , year after year ? I will explain.

Clemson , along with FSU/UM/VT are the only real football schools in the ACC, this allows for these four schools to garner the most attention from recruits looking to play in front of dedicated , loud fanbases. Clemson has the 2nd largest stadium in the ACC , arguably the top facilities and a rabid following that takes a backseat to no teams fans in ANY conference... that is about it.

Top recruits in the southeast have always considered Clemson. It matters that we haven't won an ACC title in 20 years , it also matters that we have undershined since that last title , but to kids who visit the Valley , who see the campus and feel the history .. it matters little.
This years class will be very good even without Stephone Anthony , Tony Steward jumping on board by sign-up day , but it will be FANTASMIC  if they decide to do the right thing and come to Clemson . Come on fellas .... come on to Tiger Town !
Go Tigers !

Coming from a CRIMINOLE, this has to be the most hilarious post ever put up at this site. The Jimbo's Jumbos and Free Shoe U. needs to be thankful that a 55 yard prayer is all that separates you from a nice string of losses against the Tigers.

It is a poser that begs a little more light than typically shines on that cute little lakeside campus.  Losing assistant coaches left and right, and well documented as an underachieving program for at least 20 years or more.  Fishy, very fishy.

How Clemson continuously pulls in top quality recruits is beyond me.
