Final weekend of NFL football before the Super Bowl but to college coaches, they are thinking every weekend they're recruiting is like the Super Bowl.

- The recruitment of quarterback Jacoby Brissett has heated up, with Florida, Miami and Washington all charging hard. One note in that article says that Hurricanes coaches have even been at Brissett’s high school from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. Some details on Florida and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis’ efforts to land Brissett.

- Big time defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan has eliminated Alabama and is down to Florida, Florida State and LSU.

- Andrew Peterson, a tight end from the Dallas-area, has seen his recruitment also pick up significantly. USC, Arkansas, Texas A&M and Oregon coaches are all scheduled to drop in.

- New head coach Brady Hoke is hosting several players on an official visit this weekend, here’ s a list of just who is scheduled to be in Ann Arbor.
