If you're the nation's number one recruit like Jadeveon Clowney, you tend to get special treatment while on your official visit to a school. In the SEC especially, the red carpet tends to include a few personalized cheers by the students on campus.

While on his official visit to South Carolina Saturday, Clowney took in the Gamecocks basketball game against Kentucky and received more attention from the fans than the basketball team did.

Although this sort of thing isn't limited to the top recruit in the country or the SEC, it does show how much fans know and embrace recruiting. South Carolina is the favorite to land the South Point (SC) defensive end but Alabama, Clemson and Florida State are in the mix.

Kentucky won 67-58 but it's doubtful that will have Clowney reshuffling his leader board. He's there to play football after all.

He wasn't on an official visit; just for game.
