Cyrus Kouandjio to delay signing?

We may want to hold off on that talk about how Auburn has signed the best offensive line class in the history of offensive line classes. Despite his nationally televised announcement this afternoon that he would be attending Auburn, Cyrus Kouandjio has yet to sign his letter of intent and is not officially a member of any college program just yet.

According to several reports out of various Alabama-based recruiting media, Kouandjio is likely to follow in the path of 2010 No. 1 tackle Seantrel Henderson and delay his signing by a few days to re-evaluate his decision. Obviously, this isn't good news for the Tigers, who would rather have Kouandjio firmly in their corner rather than expressing such obvious doubts, especially -- double, triple especially -- when the other option is Alabama and Nick Saban.

Kouandjio's comments about his "heart" being with Auburn in the face of maybe other concerns pointing towards the Tide will be an unfortunate echo for Tiger fans after Brent Calloway, another prospect who initially spurned the Tide for Auburn despite obvious Alabama interest, ultimately chose today to head to Tuscaloosa.

How big an impact will Kouandjio's decision have? According to Maxpreps writer Jon Buzby , his signature would vault Alabama from No. 3 to No. 1 in the Maxpreps team rankings, while dropping Auburn from 4th to 8th.

Both teams will be able to say they have extremely impressive classes regardless. But they won't be quite as impressive without the nation's most highly sought-after offensive line recruit.

Auburn is still trying to restructure Cam's bonus payment to make some CAP room. Cam still had 1 year left on his contract.

I do not see a problem with him delaying his decision. This is a major decision in this young man's life and needs to make it for himself and what program he wants to join. It is a win-win situation for the young man

That is just an ignorant comment from an ignorant person, who is bitter that his team may lose another recruit to Saban or to a Big Ten team.  If your team didn't show a lack of morals and caring about its players' lives after they graduate (yes, I know it is a foreign word at LSU), you would get quality players and human beings.

Why would he spend his career in a hospital?  Oh yeah that's right, Iowa players do community service to reach out to kids and visit them in the hospitals.

Amazing you can follow in the hater footsteps going around when the facts are not in.  Of course you are also missing the fact that what, 80 guys did that workout and no one knows why or what's up.

Another pathetic comeback from a fan of a school that Iowa has beaten.

We would be happy to have him join his fellow high school teammates at Iowa...come on Cyrus...we have Cooper, Coker, Lomax..plus Nico Law from your area.

I am sure there is a spot we can find for you on our O line.  After all, look at Reiff, he started as a freshman is doing great.  You and Cooper can go at it in practice just like you have been in high school.

Why would he go to Iowa?  He wants to play football, not spend his entire college career in a hospital.  Come to LSU and win a championship without you or your teammates getting paid ala USC or Auburn.
