College football never stops and there is no offseason: two things reporters and fans in the south know and think quite often.

- It was a very good year for talent in the state of Georgia (see the Georgia Bulldog’s ‘Dream Team’). As of yesterday though, an astonishing 736 players from the state had signed to play college football, a remarkable number.

- Of course, Florida is not to be left behind, as it has more talent per capita than any other state, joining Georgia as one of six states that signed more than 100 players to a Division I school.

- One columnist says UCF is doing great in recruiting and that’s one of the reasons USF is trying to block their possible move to the Big East.

- Arizona quarterback Connor Brewer is the first commitment for Texas for the 2012 class. We’ll have more on Brewer’s commitment later on the blog.
